She worked really hard on this case. Was very helpful in explaining my options. Went out of her way talking to the prosecutor on my behalf. Charged with battery causing bodily injury, class c misdemeanor. Was looking at a year probation, community service, fine, and possible jail time. Held out. Worked her magic and settled for class a disorderly conduct. No probation, or community service, just had to pay court costs and a $1 fine. Lesson learned, but I feel like I got off scott free!

Needing legal help under duress is one of the most intense things imaginable. Needing legal help in a city that is not your own is in a whole different stratosphere. We found ourselves in the unfortunate position of needing a criminal defense attorney in Monroe County, Indiana. Time (as it is in these matters) was of the essence. Were we supposed to close our eyes and point at a phone book? We were led to the Salzmann Law Firm (Carl and Emily) from a prominent attorney and family friend who is connected in our city (but not in Indiana). That friend worked the phones talking to prosecutors and attorneys here, and that due diligence showed that Carl Salzmann was the person to contact for criminal defense in Indiana. Emily was ultimately the attorney on our matter, and I don't know what to say other than, it is impossible to imagine the case being handled more professionally with a better outcome in a timely fashion. Other than trust, estate and other mundane legal matters, this world of needing a criminal attorney was new (and hopefully never to be revisited). If you are reading this, I can't stress enough that Salzmann Law clearly knows what they are doing. In this matter, it was also a level of knowledge about the system in Monroe county that was invaluable. I got Emily on the phone each time I called. Becky in the office was also efficient and knowledgable. The outcome was the best possible one. Frankly, I don't know if we can put a price on their services. What we paid was fair and for the type of case, was a flat fee. I can say it was the best money I have ever spent. I would have gladly paid a lot more for the same outcome. I know Emily worked hard on our behalf. I know online reviews (both good and bad) can be hard to gauge for sincerity. We are actual clients, we had a big problem, and Salzmann Law Firm helped us to solve it. That is from the bottom of my heart. I would recommend then without hesitation.
