I hired Mr. Boake after my x husband filed for a child support modification. Mr. Boake was incredible taking his deposition, finding my x in many lies an admitting to hiding money. The judge ruled in my favor hands down and Mr. Boake was not only able to keep the child support payments unchanged but he was able to have them extended beyond what was in the original settlement. Not only were the results better than I had thought but for the first time, I was able to stand up against my abusive, bullying x husband. He left me frantically searching for another attorney to represent me within a week. After doing some research with the Clearwater courthouse, it appears that Mr. Boake has a history of withdrawing. After this experience, I would suggest that if you have something that should be simple to resolve, you find a person that has a history of settling out of court. At the hearing to appoint a guardian ad litem, my case almost got dismissed because opposing counsel argued that the original motion filed did not rise to the level of proving a substantial change in circumstance. The original motion could have been completely sound and unarguable had Mr. Boake bothered looking at my documentation that I tried to share. Mr. Boake is creditable when he goes to court. If you know that your case is going to take a long time and will have to be resolved with a judge, then he may be a good fit for you. He is an attorney who has a plan of action of eventually going to court. The paraprofessional in his office left much to be desired in the way of kindness.
