I never thought I would EVER be in a position that would land me in jail. NOT EVER. I could go on and on about my personal situation that brought me to know Bryan, but that is not why I am here. I am here to stress how important it is to have an attorney who is 1st, willing to listen to you, 2nd, full to the CORE with empathy about your situation, 3rd, knowledgeable about the law and how it may or may not affect your situation, 4th ALL OF THE ABOVE. Even once my case was closed, Bryan was at the ready to assist me with any post incident issues. He remained ready to dust off his file for me, and go at 'em again if necessary. Talk about a guy who is fully invested in YOU! Is this process expensive? YES, but you are alive and hopefully safe with no one else harmed. If you find yourself ever needing Bryan's services, he WILL listen and advocate for you ever step of the way, without personal judgement or desire to scam you out of more money and time. Thank you Bryan! Asleep At The Wheel
About two years ago or so I was pulled over for a DUI. I was scared, anxious, and everything else under the sun. I called a friend of mine whom, a year previous, had also gotten himself into the same pickle. I asked him who he had went with and if he was good and he replied with, " I wouldn't have went with anybody else." I called Bryan and he seemed very considerate and personable as to what was going on. He truly does care about people and what is best for them in the long run. Bryan helped immensely with getting my case taken care of. It was nice having the opportunity to be able to breathe again! I HIGHLY recommend Bryan over anyone else in the city. The man is smart and knows the ups, downs, ins, and outs when it comes to a DUI.
Brian was very knowledgeable concerning my case and of all the local laws & requirements. He covered all of my court appearances without me having to appear. He worked aggressively for me, and ultimately garnered a favorable outcome to my case. Highly recommend Brian for any serious auto violations in the Sioux City Area.
In late 2017 I was charged with two serious criminal offenses in Iowa. I am not a resident of Iowa but live in another state. I found Mr. Goodman through this website. We interacted mostly via phone calls. Through Mr. Goodman's diligence and hard work my initial charges were dropped and the end result was a misdemeanor with no probation. This was very important to me as I did not want a felony record. Mr. Goodman understood this from the beginning and worked very hard to achieve this outcome. Mr. Goodman was always available for any questions or concerns that I had. I never had to appear in court as he managed the case in Iowa without me being present. He made the whole process very easy and worry-free for myself and my family. Furthermore, even after the case was settled, he stayed in contact with me and went above and beyond the realm of normal attorney duties to assist me in any way possible. I highly recommend Mr. Goodman for any of your legal needs.
Bryan represented me on a DUI 1st charge. I started this process with a different attorney, and had a bad experience so I hired Bryan to take over. Bryan was recommended by a close friend. Bryan is organized, knowledgeable, trust-worthy, and a real go-getter. Even more so, he is AVAILABLE and followed through with everything he said he would do! Bryan kept me well informed throughout the process, and made certain I fully understood my options and the information at hand. I hope to never need an attorney again, but if I do, I will definitely return to Bryan!
I am a recent client of Brian Goodman and a 2018 law school graduate. I can attest to the fact that Brian Goodman is the real deal—an actual criminal defense attorney—not just another lawyer who will take criminal cases (l learned this the hard way). In 2002, I was visiting Sioux City for work and was arrested for a DUI and drug possession. Unfortunately, I left town without ever taking care of the charges and warrants were issued for my arrest. Thankfully, I turned things around, and in 2015, was admitted to law school in Minnesota. Knowing that I could not have existing warrants and be admitted to the Bar, I immediately started researching "criminal defense" attorneys in IA. Apparently I was naive and believed that anyone advertising as a "criminal defense" attorney would be capable of handling my fairly minor charges. I was wrong. My first attorney was reasonably priced, but lost my confidence after failing to return several phone calls. The second attorney I hired was able to "negotiate" the following offer: "Plead guilty to everything and you can serve your jail time in your home state." Realizing that my 10 year-old son could have negotiated that, I decided to look for ANOTHER lawyer—an actual criminal defense attorney. Finally a MN lawyer referred me to Brian Goodman in early 2017. I emailed Brian through his website and we talked that day. He was honest and discussed his rates and explained exactly how I would be billed. Then we spent almost an hour discussing the facts of the case and what my end goals were (I really wanted to beat the more serious DUI charge). Then Brian went right to work. For the next several weeks, Brian called me with updates and discussed possible defense strategies with me. A short time later, the State made another, similarly poor, plea offer, which I again turned down. Brian immediately filed the paperwork to schedule a trial and discussed the pros/cons of jury trials vs. bench trials. We decided on a bench trial, which would take place right before my law school graduation. Then a few weeks before trial, the prosecution made another offer—this time to drop the DUI to a “careless.” I decided to take the deal and avoided trial. After the case was closed, Brian contacted me to return the balance of my retainer (still haven’t gotten my retainer back from the first attorney). Brian isn’t just a lawyer, he is a true criminal defense professional. If strong criminal representation is important for you, I highly recommend Brian Goodman: No surprises—constant communication—fair rates—and he is not reluctant to go to trial. I am truly thankful.
We called from out of state to choose Bryan and we were so glad we did. He was more than patient and willing to answer all our questions. His Secretary Tatum was wonderful as well with communication. I recommend him to anyone who wants to win their case!
I hired Bryan for a DUI charge back in 2015. His services were reasonably priced. He helped me out tremendously in my situation. Bottom line, the reason I liked having him as my lawyer was he very approachable. Never once did I experience a difficult time communicating with him. Whether it was via text, email or phone. He always responded in a timely matter. I would highly recommend him as he will go to bat for you!!!!
I will defiantly refer Mr. Goodman. He treated me like i was friend and not just a client. Easy to talk to and understand. I could keep going on but just try for your self if you need legal advise. Thanks again. I hope never need and attorney again but if i do your man for the job.
After explaining my situation and telling him what I had for money he point me to someone who is able to help me. Thank you Bryan. I've been searching for help for a week and you been the only one who was able to point me to someone who is willing too.
