Bryan Arbeit is a Senior Associate at Wigdor LLP. Mr. Arbeit counsels and litigates in the areas of labor and employment law, civil rights law, appellate practice, and complex class and collective actions. Mr. Arbeit concentrates his practice in counseling and litigating discrimination, sexual harassment and retaliation claims, as well as counseling executives on employment, severance and non-compete agreements. He has represented clients from a wide array of industries, including financial services, advertising, technology, health care, hospitality services and many others. Mr. Arbeit has significant experience litigating claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights of 1964, the New York State and New York City Human Rights Law, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”), the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”), the New York Labor Law and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”).ExperienceMr. Arbeit has litigated a wide variety of cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts, including before the New York Court of Appeals. Mr. Arbeit is also well-versed in representing clients before alternative dispute resolution forums such as the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and has successfully mediated cases resulting in substantial out-of-court, confidential settlements totaling in the tens of millions of dollars.Prior to joining Wigdor LLP, Mr. Arbeit worked for several years at an employment law and civil rights firm in New York.
