I was referred to Mr. Brian Sanford by another employment law firm that I found on Yelp, and I have had nothing but good things to say about this firm ever since. Full disclosure, I unfortunately was unable to sign on with Mr. Sanford because his schedule was already full, but even so he was willing to hear me out and give me some very helpful pointers on how to renegotiate the terms of my severance package after working for my former employer for nearly 8 years and getting laid off due to no fault of my own. Among those options included a handful of recommended firms I could consider contacting, all of which he had worked with before. Today I received my first paycheck from that severance agreement, which ended up being more than double the amount initially offered. Without the information Mr. Sanford provided, the tips and cautionary points he made, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have done nearly so well. I highly recommend Mr. Sanford for his straightforwardness in evaluating all points of your situation, his brass tacks summary of your options (he didn't hide anything about costs for every one of those options, whether or not you decide to hire him), and his extensive understanding of how the employment legal system works in Texas. Many people hate dealing with lawyers, but this guy seems to be one of the good ones.

Mr Sanford was recommended by another trusted legal counsel as I mentioned to the referral source: "I want someone, just as good as you" Well I can truly attest that Mr Sanford and his team definitely surpassed my expectations and remained consistent, nonjudgmental, transparent and professional, I could not have asked for a better legal counsel during a very tumultuously legal matter related to employment. I never once thought that he would be playing both sides with the other defending attorneys. He and his team were responsive, brought in necessary resources to help my litigation process become a success; even when some unexpected events unfolded which left us both baffled. Because he is a man of faith and high integrity, I believe it shows in his personal and professional dealings as sincerely helping others is apart of his passion for his work; thus allows "win-wins" to be created in unexpected circumstances with his clients. I joked with him recently, "he should become a judge" as his intelligence and prudent judgement regarding the law fondly resonated with my experience with he and his staff. In my opinion, he is the BEST Employment Attorney in the DFW area and wish the Sanford Firm very well and sincerely submit my gratitude for their resolving my legal matter!

When I was referred to Brian Sanford to handle a claim against a former employer, my wife and I sat down with him for the initial consultation. Brian's legal knowledge, sincerity and honesty came through immediately and we knew then and there that Brian was the right person and attorney to handle our case. Brian's candor, honesty and empathy came shining through and he always made time for me to answer all of my questions and offer his three decades-plus years of legal experience to a great conclusion for my family. The essence of Brian Sanford can be captured in an email that he sent to me upon the conclusion of my case. He remarked in his email that he was "glad to be of assistance in righting another wrong". Something that I am sure that Brian has done for countless clients over the years. Brian and his firm is there to help when an employer is not treating an employee or former employee justly and fairly and Brian's entire focus is to help 'right the wrongs' - I am living proof that he will do his utmost for his clients, no matter how large or small the case may be.

I have been Brian's client in a grueling employment litigation entering its sixth year. He has accepted me as a teammate, and we have been collaborating in every aspect of litigation and trial. We won against my tough former employer, and we are mopping up with post-trial motions. Brian knows the law, writes cogently, and understands judges and jurors. He correctly predicts outcomes of arguments and motions. He has been devoted to our joint cause as though he is the plaintiff, not I. He is similarly committed to his other clients, some of whom I met. Brian combines seemingly opposite traits: smart but unassuming, competitive but kind. As my steadfast advocate, he has been treating defendants and their witnesses fairly and respectfully. I heard two federal judges describe Brian as a "great lawyer" and "highly respected in the profession." I heard experienced employment lawyers praise Brian. Brian belongs to professional networks, and he consults with colleagues. They readily cooperating with him. Although Brian's law firm is small - he, an associate lawyer, and his wife as paralegal - the firm has resources of a larger law firm. We held focus groups and an evocative session. We traveled across the country to consult with the preeminent expert. During years of contentious litigation, there were many occasions on which another lawyer might have misled me, unintentionally or intentionally. Not Brian. He has invariably been scrupulous and truthful, both when we were getting ahead and when we were falling behind. In setbacks, I felt his personal concern for me. In victories, we shared our delight. We visited each other's homes. We went out together. I came to know Brian's wife, who is paralegal at his firm and who also contributed to our success. I met one of his daughters. Brian met one of my sons and my then-girlfriend. Both of them like Brian. I do wish our protracted litigation to end. I look forward to relocating far away. I will, however, miss Brian and our sharing.

Brian Sanford has been very supportive during a difficult time in my life. Despite that I was ranked as a top performing medical sales rep at my company, I was discriminated against due to pregnancy and then wrongfully terminated. It was a very depressing and emotional experience, yet Brian and his office staff have given me the encouragement and strength to stand up and fight for myself. I am a loving wife, proud mother of two little girls, and a medical professional devoted to providing quality patient care. Brian helped restore my confidence, and I have recently found a new position in the medical field. Here I am also delivering outstanding results. I could not have overcome and defended myself alone. We are still in the grueling process of legal procedures, and it is comforting to have Brian Sanford representing me. Although he knew very little about my profession, he has taken it upon himself to better understand and, therefore, better represent me as his client. He invests the time to educate himself because he truly cares about his clients. His passion to bring justice to any unjust situation is refreshing and I am very grateful for having met him.

Most important, Brian is a God fearing man. He is a man of impeccable integrity, morals, & honesty. He adheres strictly to the professional & ethical standards of conduct expected from an Attorney that others will emulate. He would be the first to tell you that he is often fearful. He just does not show it. He exudes strength but a calm and resolute demeanor. He is a natural leader. Brian demonstrates great skill and courage as a litigator. He produces legal results because he knows how to read and anticipate situations, Judges/Arbitrators, opposing counsels, witnesses for the Plaintiffs and Defense. As a Plaintiff, he always listened and was most respectful to me. He always kept me informed. He always told me the good, bad and the ugly. He was absolutely frank with me as to what needed to be done, yet responsive to my fears of uncertainties and of losing the case. I quickly learned to trust Brian not only because he is so intelligent, but also because of his knowledge, technical skills for writing and litigating. I trusted his common sense approach when speaking, arguing, negotiating, & compromising with anyone and everyone involved in my case. He knows and understands people and is able to use this to the advantage of his clients. Attorneys might not like losing to him, but they all respected him and his expertise in the end. I not only put my financial, health and welfare in his hands, but that of my critically ill wife. Brian is an Attorney- Board Certified in Labor & Employment. In reviewing many of the most credible surveys pertaining to Arbitration, an Employee stands almost a 60% chance of winning in a trial by jury. That same Employee might have only a 2%-6% chance of ever winning an Arbitration, even with the greatest Attorney + God. An Employee acting as a Pro Se might have a 1/1,000,000 chance of winning in Arbitration. Employee Awards in trial by jury can bring monetary relief in 6 to 7 figures. Employee Awards in Arbitration might average nationally $24,000. It takes a really confident and courageous Attorney to accept an Employee wrongfully terminated from a National Company ranked in the low 200s by Fortune. It takes a really smart, confident, and courageous small firm Attorney to take the case of an Employee that the Employer had hired one of America's leading Labor & Employment Law Firms having 700+ outstanding lawyers. Brian had taken on a Senior Attorney from a Law Firm that had been ranked "Law Firm of the Year" for Labor and Employment Law. There is much criticism of the Forum of Arbitration. My Arbitration Case was litigated in a Hearing on the Merits for 5 days. I was asking that Brian continue litigating for 3-5 days longer in order to challenge every single allegation and accusation by Respondent supporting their view that the termination was legal. Plaintiff charged violations of the Civil Rights Law under Title VII with charges of Sex Discrimination, Wrongful Termination, and Retaliation for having complained. Brian and his outstanding Associate argued with me. Brian felt that we had a good chance of winning with what was already presented. He left the final decision up to me. I said a quick prayer to God. Then, I chose to listen to the wisdom and expertise of the really great Attorney that I have described above. Arbitrator, by agreement of both parties, was allowed to take about 45 days to render a final and binding decision. I thought I would die waiting. I knew that we had lost. All the odds were in the favor of the Employer. One day after I had mentally written off any chance of winning, I got a call from Brian. I just knew he was going to start by saying, "Dudley, I'm really sorry, but we did our best and that was just not good enough. By the way, there isn't ever a real chance to appeal an Arbitrator's decision. We might have won in a Civil Trial with a Jury." I was jolted back to reality. I heard Brian laughing, "We not only won, but we just about maxed out the Civil Rights Award Cap."
