In 2011 after sitting on probation for 6 years out of no where I was going back to court for a crime I had thought I already did my time for. But since there are some really nasty county prosecutors that enjoy being the anti christ I found out otherwise anyways the state said since I hadn't paid the entire restitution amount owed to my victim for stealing her car that after being sentenced to jail time already served and 5 years of probation which was extended another year that I was going to prison mind you this was my only offense with no probation violations besides for not paying all the 10000 dollars which was a made up number by who knows. Brian found out that I had paid the victim back in full and the county was throwing me in prison because I owed a lil bit of money to gieco insurance. Well that's not a criminal act you cant be thrown into jail cause you didnt pay last months water bill. I wonder what they were using that extra money for I doubt Polk county have it to the victim who didnt want to see this even happen anyways I got to go home and the charge was dismissed and I was instantly off probation. I feel like Polk county violated my rights and the rights of many. Not only did brian work with me on the case he also made it affordable and never hounded me for the money I mean he drove to Polk county from saint paul twice for me and he didnt hate it or charge me for his time doing so. I cant be more thankful for having him in my corner when I was being victimized by our system. Like I said Marsden is the greatest lawyer hands down. Theres not a better one out here. On a side not dont hire jeff dean hes a thief and you will simply over pay a boat load and get less services. Love you brian always greatful.
Mr. Marsden defended me with such consideration and care in regard to what I was going through. He let me know I was in control, and he was there to support me no matter what decisions I made regarding my case. His main concern was making sure I was happy, and adequately represented through every step. I cant express enough the peace of mind this gave me during a stressful, and emotional time. Very Appreciative!
This review refers to 3 cases that Brian Marsden took care of for me back in 2003. I was arrested 3 times within a month for serious offenses. I hired Brian for the fed case only {1 of the 3}. I couldn't of hired a better attorney. He handled all 3 cases, running them all concurrent into my fed charge. Don't ask me how he did it but in court he is a firdt contender. He works with people and their families. He never once left me in the dark. I love you Brian
I have used Mr. Brian Marsden as a criminal defense attorney twice over the last five years. He is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, affordable and HE GETS RESULTS! I highly recommend Brian to represent any individual who has a criminal court case where they need professional representation. He answered all of my questions, returned every phone call, reviewed my case with me in great detail and unraveled an incredibly complicated case with the end result in my favor. This guy will fight hard for you and with you! A Phenomenal attorney.
Unfortunately some of my clients are not stellar and misrepresent the facts. The last client review is from an individual convicted of criminal vehicular operation with a .18 BAC and prior DWIs. Guess what? He didn't go to jail. But he should have. Even clients that suck do well even though they sometimes deserve a lengthy incarceration.
I was charged with a crime of which I was innocent of, in Ramsey county, back in 2001. I was really scared and I didn't understand so well how the system worked. Brian represented me for a really reasonable fee, and got the charges dismissed. The thing that was most comforting about him as a lawyer was that he made sure that I understood everything that was happening. He always returned my calls right away and he definitely knew what he was talking ab out. I really recommend him. I refer him to any friend who needs a lawyer, hands down.
I worked with Brian on an issue that popped up out of no where. I thought I was looking at pretty severe jail time before we talked it all through. We developed a strategy to move forward and everything went just as he said it was. I kept my clean record and avoided being formally charged all together.
Unfortunately after getting a copy of the retainer over 3 weeks after it was signed , I discovered why Brian was ignoring my phone calls (for as long as 4 days) . Turns out he has a clause in his retainer that allows him to keep all of the retainer money in full if he gets fired! I could go on and on but between being constantly told how horrible my case was and having to bend his arm for him to even try to negotiate with the prosecutor, which it turns out there was a good chance for better terms and having my case postponed for an additional 6 months because Brian was to busy on vacation in Mexico to review the evidence and his "busy" schedule It left a bad taste in my mouth. My advise is to get a recommendation from someone you know before hiring an attorney. I unfortunately went with the recommendation from one stranger on Yelp! The auto accident was bad enough but I would have been better off representing myself and saved a lot of money and time as well.
