Brian Andreoli is a lawyer I have retained as Counsel over the course of time. He has impeccable integrity and his work is of the highest quality, There are few you will ever encounter with the knowledge, skills, expertise and integrity this man brings to the table. Having worked with many lawyers over the years in my capacity as the CEO, I can assure you he is the finest in the profession.
After associating with Attorney Andreoli for some years now, I have found his skills, experience, and loyalty to be outstanding. I have employed many attorneys for various matters and work in the legal field myself, and Mr. Andreoli has steadfastly continued to approach matters in a unique and creative way that no other lawyer I have ever worked with has ever done. Unfortunately, due to a bad medical outcome, Mr. Andreoli has not been able to practice law and is disabled currently. This is a tragic loss to the legal community, as his area of specialty is in demand.
I have known Brian for almost 20 years, first as a colleague and then as a client, and I enthusiastically give him the highest possible recommendation. I have been working as a tax attorney for almost 30 years, and in-house for almost 15. I have met and worked with many experienced tax and business advisors, and rank Brian among the best because of his intelligence, client focus, high integrity and ethical standards, and most importantly his results. All of these qualities were evident with Brian's work on my company's transfer pricing matters. I first engaged Brian to assist with the new transfer pricing function I was establishing in connection with my in-house position. A previous advisor prepared a transfer pricing study that was, to put it mildly, inadequate. Brian worked with me to establish a transfer pricing strategy and prepare a new study that became the foundation of my company's transfer pricing policy. He also made certain that I would be able to handle all aspects of the transfer pricing function going forward. Our company was extremely pleased with the results. Several years later, the IRS challenged our transfer pricing methodology. To make a harrowing five-year story short, with Brian's help (along with a lot of effort) a very large IRS proposed transfer pricing adjustment - which could have been a career-ender for me - went down to zero. This involved entering the Advance Pricing Agreement Program and dealing with many different levels at the IRS. Brian and I worked together every step of the way to resolve this. Obviously, the IRS should never have raised this issue in the first place, but due to the great work Brian did in setting up our transfer pricing policy, and then defending it, we were able to stave off this challenge. In another and much less significant dispute, an IRS agent showed up at one of our offices demanding a tax payment we had no idea was due, or he was going to issue a lien on all of the company's assets. Brian got on the phone with the agent, and from 500 miles away calmed him down, reasoned with him, and convinced him to give us an extra week to make the demanded payment. Needless to say, that was quite an accomplishment. As these illustrations demonstrate, Brian is an excellent business and tax practitioner. He also has an impressive familiarity with other areas of law outside of tax, and is able to provide at least a general and accurate answer to just about any legal question I have asked him. I highly recommend Brian Andreoli as a business and tax attorney.
