About
Texarkana is my hometown. After return from law school in 1989 I began practicing in Texarkana. I have been heavily invovled in the community including: Texarkana Ducks Unlimited - Area Chairman; Court Appointed Special Advocates, Board of Directors- President; Bowie County Levee Board, District 1- Secretary; Texarkana Regional AirportAuthority - Board Chairman; Four States Fair and Rodeo Association - Board Chairman; Texarkana Museum Systems- Treasurer; Christus St. Michael Foundation Board; Teen Court of Texarkana - Judge; Temple Center - Easter Seal VIP; Southwest Arkansas High School Rodeo Association - Vice President; Williams Memorial Methodist Church - Finance Committee, Pastor Parish Relations and Administrative Counsel.Attorney Langdon is now officially recognized by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification as a specialist in family law. Attorneys who are board certified by NBLSC demonstrate that they have achieved both proficiency and education requirements to maintain a comprehensive understanding of family law in their state. NBLSC is an American Bar Association-accredited organization that identifies attorneys who meet stringent requirements for certification. It fosters a legal community that is encouraged to specialize and is dedicated to "achieving and maintaining a high standard of practice and to leveling the playing field for clients." To become board certified, an attorney's experience, judicial and peer references, and disciplinary notices are evaluated. There is also an exam to ensure that the lawyer's legal knowledge is up to the highest standards. If certification is achieved, it is reviewed and—if an attorney is again approved—renewed every five years. Attorneys who are board certified in family law must be able to demonstrate that they can provide certain services for clients. These include negotiation and mediation practices, pre or post nuptial agreement drafting, settlement agreements and parenting plan creation, domestic violence protections, and other necessary and critical services. Attorney Langdon’s board certification is just the latest notice he has accumulated in his career. He is the only attorney in the State of Arkansas accepted as a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He was invited and nominated by his peers in East Texas to membership of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and elected as a member. He is an invited member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He holds numerous bar association memberships, as well, including in Texarkana, Northeast Texas, Southwest Arkansas, and Arkansas. He has also been recognized by Super Lawyers® for seven consecutive years. Counties regularly appearing in Texas: Bowie, Cass, Red River, Marion, Morris, Titus & Lamar; Arkansas: Miller, Little River, Sevier, Howard, Pike, Hempstead, Nevada, Lafayette, & Columbia.

Brent was everything and more. He was a tough with negotiations. At the end of the day he was able to get a deal that wasn’t only fair for me but for my child. After hiring a less than average attorney I realized quick you get what you pay for, I then hired Brent . Brent is expensive but hes good, fair and honest. I’d recommend Brent to anyone in arkansas or Texas.
I have to say, when I hired Brent Langdon in November 2013, I was a very hopeless, desperate person. My daughter had been turned over to her father when I did not show up for a court date. I was not properly notified of a court date by him nor his attorney. So, I decided, "I'm tired of this. I'm going to find the best lawyer I can find." So I went to Langdon Davis. Initially, I was there to see Demaris Hart. However, she was not there at that time (I did not have an appointment with her, I just walked in the office). I spoke with the woman at the front desk about meeting with Demaris, and she said she was not there at that time but there was another attorney who I could talk with about my case. I went back and spoke with Brent about my situation and he said he'd take it on. A few months later, we had a court date and got the order my ex filed overturned. My ex has consistently given me problems since then, though. We have been in and out of the court room from day one, with him trying to take our daughter away from me. Brent Langdon has stuck by my side through every bit of it. Not to discredit Demaris whatsoever by this statement, I have read her profile and know she is a great attorney also, but I am SO glad I hired Brent. That was the best decision I have ever made. This man has LOYALLY stayed by my side through all of this litigation. He has fought for me and my daughter from day one. And I'm glad to say, last week we won our case. If you are looking for an attorney to help you, guide you, be prepared for your case without any worry on your end, and most importantly FIGHT for you, this is your lawyer. Trust me. You will see the passion he has, and the incredible law knowledge he has studied 25+ years for. Respectfully submitted, A PROUD Brent Langdon client
I hired him because my ex husband, who is a business owner and has over a million dollars in assets tried to lower his child support. Mr. Langdon and his staff Assured me that my ex didn't have a case and to let them handle my battle because it was "their battle now." After hiring , I did have trouble communicating with members supposedly working on my case. We had a court date and the night before we were to appear, I got a call from Mr. Langdon stating that my ex had made an offer and I really had to accept because If I didn't agree, it would cost me a lot more in court costs and attorney fees and my ex would just get what he wanted anyway. I was in tears and trusted what he said. I know now that I should have appeared in court that next day.... Without Mr. Langdon. Basically, my attorney sold me out and didn't fight for me or my children at all. So after 3500.00, I ended up with several hundred less a month in child support and lost any child support for lifetime for a disabled child. She also has to spend two weeks a month at her Dads house ( not a good environment at all) so that he won't have to pay that lifetime child support. Along the course of this case, I was told by the staff supposedly working on my case things such as, "He won't ever win." "The judge will see right through him." "how does he think he can lower his child support with all of his assets.?" I was made to believe that I had an attorney to defend me and my children. The whole experience was very disappointing.
I have never wrote a review on anything or anyone before but feel like it is my responsibility to make sure no one makes the mistake I made and hire this lawyer who had no intension of working on my case and have it to one of his jr associates who had no experience in this field but he still billed me hourly for his experience($300hr). He required a $3000 retainer and after he nor his legal team would return my calls or requests and then his associate was telling my opponents lawyer information I fired him after 12 days, recieved a bill of $3900. There were no court appearances and nothing accomplished on my behalf. I have filed a complaint with the tx bar so I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. I have now found a lawyer who actually cares about the safety of my child and wish I hadn't wasted the time I did on Brent Langdon. I'm leaving this info so that hopefully someone will be able to save their money and hire a good guy Instead of one like Brent Langdon who only cares about the money.
