I advise a property owner who was represented in a complex construction defect case by Brenda. I have been continually impressed by her persistence and creativity in the face of unexpected and inexplicable complexities. Should I find myself in need of a real estate or construction attorney, I would not consider hiring anyone else.
Brenda Sauro represented me in complex construction/insurance litigation and did an outstanding job. She was prompt, thorough, and a strong advocate., and at a fair price
In my role as President of a Condo Homeowners Association, I worked alongside Brenda for the better part of 3 years as she led us to a successful outcome with our rather complex and large case against the original developers, architects, manufacturers, and contractors of our building; driven largely by moisture intrusion issues. Brenda was an excellent guide to our board, none of us had experience with this type of process before and she skillfully navigated us throughout the sometimes tedious process. It was also clear that Brenda is very well connected within her area of practice, and that was of benefit to our Association as well. Finally, Brenda was always most professional, prompt, and a pleasure to work with. Wholeheartedly I recommend Brenda if you are looking for an Attorney to help lead you though issues in her area of expertise.
Brenda Sauro expertly guided our homeowner's association through a difficult litigation process resulting in a very positive settlement. Her negotiations on our behalf were professional, even-handed, and fair. Her recommendations presented clear choices with pros and cons to consider. Brenda always responded rapidly to any inquiry, making herself available by phone, email, or in person. We trust her knowledge, expertise, and character, and will continue to utilize her services when needed.
Brenda handled an arbitration case involving several big non-disclosure facts on a house I purchased in 2007. The seller claimed no water damage, leakage, roof leaks and more. The biggest issue was heavy mold hidden behind wallpaper from a previously flooded basement. The roof had also leaked and mold was covered with wallpaper. Carpeting covered up water damage and mold to wood floors. The end result was a huge arbitration award in my favor. Seller was ordered to repurchase the house at full purchase price plus pay damages and costs involved with house while I owned it but could not move into or live in. I was reimbursed taxes, insurance, expert witness testimony and other fact finding costs for mold remediation, appraisals etc. I had no previous experience with lawyers so needed much hand holding and advice as the case progressed. She quickly responded to all my questions, worries and angst but was ready for all the denials, counter claims and attempts to stall things as long as possible from seller. She was calm, well-prepared and at ease during the long (11 hrs.) sometimes frustrating arbitration. When the award came back it was beyond my hopes and expectations. I would most definitely hire Brenda again. A good lawyer but also a lovely, kind person who understood what I was going through.
We had a complicated situation with stucco issues in the house we bought in August 2008. It appeared to us that both the seller and the realtor failed in their disclosure duties to us. Having decided we were going to fight the situation, we hired Hammargren & Meyer. Brenda Sauro helped us achieve a good result with the realtor and the seller ordered to fork over a significant payment by the arbitration board. I found Brenda throughout to be highly ethical, clear in setting expectations, focused on winning, well prepared and very responsive. I recommend her highly.
