Brenda Garcia maintains a diverse immigration practice involving a variety of complex matters. Her practice includes assisting clients obtaining work permits, visas, legal permanent residency (green cards), and citizenship.When not advocating for her clients, Brenda participates in pro bono activities important to her community. She has assisted the Mexican Consulate in conducting various workshops that help individuals obtain U.S citizenship. In addition, she volunteered with the North Texas Dream Team interviewing prospective applicants and preparing DACA applications.Most recently, Brenda volunteered with the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) at Karnes County Family Detention Center in Karnes, Texas, where she prepared detainees for their asylum interviews. Brenda’s law practice has led her to participate in a popular Spanish-speaking morning radio program on CBS educating audiences about laws and policies affecting their communities.Brenda is a member of the State Bar of Texas. She received her B.A. in Journalism from Southern Methodist University and her J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
