After making an agreement which I then began to carry out, Ms. Koontz decided to bring a new deal to the table after re-speaking with the DA. I had the worst communication or lack of through email and phone. After I fired the law firm I was then told on record that a long crazy process of going before the judge had to convene before my funds would be returned. I have filed a formal Grievance with the NC bar as well as a fee dispute resolution. Another local Mocksville attorney advised me that the process was a sham. I believe the Koontz Lawfirm was very biased and did not want to work with me after I exposed I had more conservative values. Very unhappy with outcome of my case after a lot of time and money spent. Was not given solid advice. Did not respond to emails in a timely manner. Often times wasn’t given the information I needed to complete tasks I was required to due to court orders. But above all, I did not feel as though this attorney advocated for me as her client.

Ms Stockert hsd three issues she was suppose to resolve after a 2500 dollar retainer. None were resolved and she was timid and not aggressive at all. She has way too many clients to handle and relies on her paralegals since they have more experience. I also gave her a closing which was mishandled according to my realtor who was not impressed at all.
