HE TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF ME IN A FELONY DRUG CHARGE AND EVEN GOT IT CHANGED TO A VA COURT. WE DID NOT EVEN KNOW OF SUCH A COURT. HE IS FAIR AND GOOD WITH PEOPLE. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES.

Was going to pay the fine, but looked up the Violation of Statute/Ordinance Charge Code from the ticket online, and I was really being charged with Hazardous Driving. My family and I were new to the Missouri/Kansas area when I was pulled over by a Kansas police officer for a tag that was 2 days late. Where I'm from originally (Oklahoma) you have a 30 day grace period on your tag, in KS you automatically have a court date set and fines. Since October 7 I have been trying to get a refund of $3500 on a case we had paid him the handle and he did nothing with. You’d have a better chance of getting out of murder if you just pled guilty vs using this clown.

The police went well beyond the scope of their search warrant of my house, then got a 2nd warrant to cover what actually did, 2 days AFTER they arrested me. They touched nothing described in the 1st warrant. The prosecutor knew a 1st year law student could beat this case, so they only asked for probation. This was my 2nd D felony. When I asked Mr Kinney about filing a Franks motion, all he wanted to do is wait to hear prosecution's offer. For months I asked for my discovery, to see why he wouldnt file. I got it 45 mins before going in front of the judge to cop to it. Im glad the prosecutor only tried for probation, since my lawyer didnt try to stop them. The other 2 people that were charged, had their cases dismissed. I honestly believe I would be free if I had used a public defender, or filed a Franks motion myself. Mr Kinney is a very pleasant person, but worthless as a lawyer.

He will not do anything to handle my case and I can not hire another attorney because he is holding on to my case. He has no professionalism at all his rights should be taken. More than once, he failed to respond to motions from the opposing attorney in a timely fashion, or at all, eventually allowing my case to be dismissed by the judge. He only informed me of this a month later. Then he wanted to file the same petition in Federal Court and for two months did nothing, even though I paid him filing fees. I ended our client/attoney relationship, asking multiple times for my file and he still refuses to release my file.

CAR ACCIDENT (Rear-ended, them so I was at fault) -Given C&I By state trooper -I did and do admit I looked at the floor of car and when I looked up I hit the car in front of me(was tired from work and on the way to after work class)(simple mistake, not a criminal or bad driver) -CLEAN driving record, NO HISTORY of car accident ever -NO drugs or Alcohol involved (just an accident, again 1st one ever) -FULL Coverage Insurance Attorney "battled" and got me SIS, 1 year of supervised probation and 40 hours community service Those are all the FACTS- You tell me if you think thats great work? EVERY LAST PERSON I HAVE SPOKEN TO THINKS THIS IS GROSS ABUSE OF PUNISHMENT I just want other people to know what type of representation they are getting based on my experience.
