Mr. Latta is a great, professional lawyer and very smart. He ended a nightmare of a nasty divorce. I would use him again if I had to and I would also recommend him to anyone who is in a bad situation with family law. Also his staff is great, they reply fast and never leave you waiting.
Brad took a very difficult situation in my life and tirelessly worked to help me get on the other side of it. He is highly dedicated to getting his client's what they want. First, he gave me a free consultation to make sure I was comfortable moving forward with him, which I think is awesome. I paid $300 for a consultation prior to finding him. I'm very happy with how my case was handled from start to finish and Mr. Latta is as good of a person as he is an attorney.
Brad helped me through a very rough time and was a very knowledgeable and dedicated attorney. He did everything I asked him too do. He fault for my case like he had known me for years. He truly cares about his clients.
My divorce case was complicated by my former spouse filing an ex parte order alleging (falsely) that I was a danger to her and my kids because I'm under psychiatric care. I interviewed two other lawyers, one who seemed ready to concede before even starting and another who wanted to jump straight to blood and guts warfare. Brad struck the right balance between being willing and able to negotiate a favorable settlement and being willing to fight for me if my spouse refused to budge (which is what ultimately happened). Brad did a very good job explaining what I should expect in my deposition and on the stand. But what was most valuable to me is the way he kept his patience throughout the year-long process, which was filled with lots of delays and unpredictable actions (or inaction) from the court. I consciously tried not to be "that client" who pestered him all the time, but as the months went by and I became more antsy, he stayed level-headed and helped calm me without ever coming off as frustrated or condescending. After numerous delays, the case ultimately went to trial and the judge finally ruled almost three months later. I had my full parental rights restored and standard visitation thanks to his skill and willingness to see things through.
I felt the process fit my needs. My main concerns were speed, cost and amount of interaction since I work away from the area most the time. The paperwork was minimal and it was well organized. I was given clear expectations and advice to help get me to my goals. I felt that we were able to get the results I most wanted. I have worked with lawyers in the past that asked me to do things I was uncomfortable with all in the name of winning and was pleased to find that I was not asked to do these things. My case was built with my expectations and interest in mind. This was more than I expected when I began searching for legal advice.
I called Brad last year while I was going through my divorce. He made it as easy as I could have asked. The worst attorneys I've used in the past have been the ones that weren't realistic with me from the start, even if they thought they were telling me what I wanted to hear. I told Brad from day one I wanted the truth, and he never sugarcoated it. In the end I knew what to expect and he helped me through each court appearance. When my cousin got divorced in Foley I recommended Brad and he had the same experience. Divorce and family issues are hard but calling Brad was the best decision I could have made.
After 9 years of marriage, my husband and I came to the decision that it simply wasn't working anymore and decided to get divorced. I knew absolutely nothing about the whole process and was scared to death that I would lose everything! Mr. Latta did such a great job of listening to all my concerns and taking the time to explain, step-by-step, the whole process and what to expect. He was a very professional and stern advocate for me in making sure our assets were divided fairly. I'll admit, when I first came to Mr. Latta, I was wary of attorneys and the whole divorce process, but I was quickly able to relax, knowing that my interests were well taken care of and I was in good hands with him and his staff. I was able to know exactly what was going on with my case all hours of the day by logging into my own account on his online portal. Mr. Latta and his staff were also great about responding to my emails and phone messages fast. Going through a divorce is hell on earth and I don't wish it on anyone, but if you find yourself in that position, I highly recommend Brad J. Latta and his staff to handle it for you. You truly won't be disappointed!
I was very pleased with the work Brad did on my case. Any time I was confused about the priceds, he made it easy to understand and he always came prepared. He was very aggressive fighting for my rights and I don't know what I would have done without him. He was very clear since the beginning and he did exactly what he promised, and more. I was going through a very difficult time, and Brad was a bright spot that I needed. I HIGHLY recommend him for anyone.
I hired Brad to help me with my child support case. I went directly through DHR to start this process (before meeting Brad) and it was a complete nightmare.. Once the process started, the child support payments stopped.. I informed DHR and they told me that I would have to wait a little over a year before I would be able to get a court date. At that point I decided to involve Brad.. I checked him out thoroughly before calling and requesting his help. The day I called, he gave me some wonderful advise, and explained to me how he could help me. Everything that he told me on that call, he followed through with. Brad was able to get me a quick court date. He was also able to get me favorable results. He and his staff kept me informed throughout the entire process. I thank God for allowing me to find Brad.. He is a professional attorney that cares about his clients and will do anything in his power to help. Thanks Brad!!!!!
We are Great Grandparents with custody of an 8 yr. old in which the other parties kept nitpicking the court enough to have the Judge keep us coming back for reviews over and over when not necessary. I had two major goals after hiring Brad for this last court appearance and one was to have this case closed out of the court, and the other goal was to present a modified child visitation schedule. I got number one goal, but not two. Brad says we will let things calm down a bit and try to work out something between Lawyers and stay out of court. Sounds good to me. A Further note into this review is the excellent work that Kristen (Paralegal) did on this case, I shoved a lot of info and paperwork at her in a short period of time and she handled it all with a high level of professionalism and was very helpful to us and made us feel comfortable switching to Brad.
