Bo Murphy is an East Tennessee native who has had a passion for law since he moved to Cookeville, Tennessee, to attend college at Tennessee Technological University.Mr. Murphy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then moved to Memphis, Tennessee, and received his Juris Doctor from the University Of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School Of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude and in the Top Ten of his class. While in law school, Mr. Murphy was the Senior Student Justice on the Honor Council and received the CALI Award for the Future in both Torts and Trial Advocacy.Mr. Murphy has worked in the Office of Legal Counsel for the University of Memphis, where he worked closely with the University on Tennessee Uniform Administrative Procedure Act hearings and complex discovery and contract issues.Mr. Murphy has also worked with Larry and Nick Rice of the Memphis complex domestic litigation firm Rice, Amundsen & Caperton, PLLC. Larry and Nick Rice are well known for their work in writing the Tennessee book on divorce. The firm was voted the "Best Law Firm in Memphis" in consecutive years.Mr. Murphy is licensed to practice in all Tennessee courts and the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, however, he practices mostly in the Upper Cumberland, Roane County, and the surrounding counties.
