About

I received my law degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1978 and a Master’s of Business Administration in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1984.  I received my Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University.  Since 1984 my practice has been limited to U.S. immigration and naturalization law with an emphasis in employment-based immigration (including investor visas, religious workers, intracompany transferees, and labor certifications), family immigration, deportation defense, and political asylum. I focused on tax, estate planning and corporate law prior to limiting my practice to U.S. immigration and naturalization law.    I have represented clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (formerly INS), Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the U.S. District Court (Denver, Colorado), the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Department of Labor.  I have testified as an expert witness in state court proceedings on immigration issues.  Since 1984 I have been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).  I have lectured at the AILA National Annual Conference and have lectured on immigration topics at various other seminars in Colorado.  I am a past Chairperson of the Colorado Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and have served as the Colorado AILA liaison to the US Customs and Border Protection agency and as a member of the AILA Colorado Chapter Asylum Liaison committee.  I am a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations and a past member of the Denver Tax Association.
