I have worked with several attorneys over the years and there are only a handful I would go to myself and also recommend....Ms. Terry is one of them. I had used two other attorneys to deal with my divorce issues and military benefits issues. The previous two did a terrible job and cost me thousands of dollars in benefits I should have received. I took my case to Ms. Terry and she immediately knew what had to be done "the correct way" and how to do it. She was also very familiar with military law issues for my divorce. She took the time to explain all of the issues to me in detail and also made recommendations that had not been considered before. She works in a very timely manner (unlike the two previous attorneys) and did not try to make the situation any more contentious than it needed to be. In addition, her legal pricing is quite reasonable....especially compared to many other attorneys in the area. She is also very nice and easy to talk to and deal with. Highly recommended!

I was referred to Beth by another lawyer who claimed she was really good in court and very knowledgeable. Shortly after I paid the deposit, that same lawyer proclaimed, "Beth Terry could never represent me!" I should have pulled out right then. Although she claimed to have a very good relationship with the judge in my case (because he had been to her office on occasions), it seemed Beth Terry was not respected by John Guy in my case at all. He wouldn't even look at her when she spoke. In my case, either she did not possess the legal aptitude to fight the situations or she purposely allowed the following: Opposing counsel illegally submitted emails from a minor. (She could have filed a Motion Limine). She allowed opposing counsel to place addition verbiage and or omit verbiage (not spoken by the judge) in motion drafting which slowly changed the direction of my case. She filed a vital motion 2 months and 8 days late which caused irreparable damage to my case. Beth was not strong enough to get the judge to make the other party abide by court orders and couldn't get the judge to find the other party in contempt. She seemed afraid to ask the judge to recuse when it was very clear that he was biased and teetering abuse of judicial power. To my estimation, I paid Beth close to 11k in one year. For the last hearing, she sent me a bill for $2500 more for a Status Hearing. Something we had been to court for many times over the year and she had NEVER charged that amount. In the end, I was worse off in my case than before I hired her. It seemed to me, that her performance was so weak and grossly negligent, she must have been working for the other party, at some point. I would NEVER refer anyone to Beth Terry and I absolutely wish I hadn't trusted the person who referred me. I waited a year to write this review because I wanted to post a true and helpful account, free of emotions. One more thing. Consider it a red flag when a lawyer charges you for any and all forms of communication. How else can he or she zealously represent you if there is no communication? I believe lawyers who do this are not worth their weight in salt. Thus, they make their money in petty and or frivolous fees.
