About
Beth established her current law practice in Newtonville, MA in 2001. While her career is focused in law, her social work background has informed her connection with clients, child-focused family law work, and ability to finesse complex family dynamics. In addition to her solo practice, Beth became Of Counsel to the firm of Skylark Law & Mediation, P.C. in Framingham, Massachusetts in 2013, where she handles estate planning, probate, and family law matters. Prior to law school and graduate school, Beth obtained her BA in psychology from Georgetown University and subsequently worked with residential autistic children at The League School of Boston. She has drawn on this experience, as well as prior internships at the Boston School for the Deaf, Supreme Judicial Court Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee, and legal office of the Department of Children & Families, for insight in shaping estate plans and parenting plans for families addressing special needs. Beth’s estate planning practice has also included work with small or family-owned businesses, step-families, and same-sex families to create sound plans of business succession and estate tax planning. Her probate work includes representing clients through every step of the probate process, from initial appointment as Personal Representative (formerly called Executor) to final account and estate closure. Beth strives to assist clients in family law and probate matters in achieving out-of-court resolutions, in order to help clients avoid prolonged, expensive, and contentious litigation. To this end, Beth is a trained mediator, mediating divorces, parenting plans, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, multigenerational/elder issues, and probate matters. Beth also represents individuals who are in mediation, conciliation, or arbitration with another neutral, and represents individuals in Collaborative Law for divorce and probate matters. Beth’s family law practice also includes adoption, guardianships of minors and adults, and appointments as a Guardian ad Litem child custody investigator.

I hired Beth to help me negotiate the terms of an uncontested divorce. She walked me through the process and negotiated separation terms with my ex's lawyer, as well as prepared all of the forms and paperwork I needed to file with the court. Beth advised me on the possible courses of action and gave recommendations, but also made sure my opinions and needs were expressed to the other party. In the end, we ended up with a fair settlement without having to involve outside mediation or going to trial. Beth was accessible, professional, and informative throughout the process. I would strongly recommend her, especially in cases where settling equitably out of court is the goal.
Ms. Aarons worked with our family to create multiple estate plans for multiple purposes. She was empathetic to our needs/wishes and listened well during initial consultations, later recommending the best course of action to meet our objectives. All the while maintaining the utmost level of professionalism and responsiveness to our questions/concerns. Her explanations are thorough, yet easy to understand and her flexibility with respect to meeting and turnaround times are unparalleled in my opinion. Finally, Ms. Aarons services are reasonably priced and she is extremely easy to work with. I would highly recommend her services for your family, estate planning and/or probate needs.
Beth was patient, answered all my questions in understandable language, and was professional throughout.
I hired attorney Aarons in 2015 to help me craft my Last Will and Testament, Living Trust and other related Estate Planning documents. Atty. Aarons is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and an expert in probate law. She clearly outlined the advantages (and disadvantages) of Living Trusts versus Testamentary Trusts, and helped me make a decision on what instrument would be the most appropriate for me. I truly feel Atty. Aarons made my Estate Planning documents ‘as bullet proof’ as they can be. Atty. Aarons is a very kind and caring individual. She really takes the time to understand what the client wants and puts that in legal terms: you will feel that the documents are “custom made for you”. At least that is what I feel. She is very good and fast at the same time. I decided to write this review since there is no easy way to verify ‘quality’ in attorneys. In Atty. Aarons you’ll find an expert, a dependable and responsive person, and a very nice individual to work with. After crafting these ones, my fifth Estate Planning documents, I can say that Beth Aarons is the best Estate Planing Attorney I know. Thanks a lot Beth!
My partner and I hired Beth to draft wills, powers of attorney, and health care proxies for both of us. Our entire experience was extremely positive. Beth explained very clearly what our options were and what decisions we needed to make, and walked us through the implications of the various possibilities while always remaining respectful of our wishes and never pressuring us to do things a particular way. Beth was very prompt in responding to communications (we used email primarily) and she has a good system in place for sending drafts to clients for review and making changes based on our feedback. We now have our finished documents in hand and are very happy with our experience. We would recommend Beth to friends or family looking for help with estate planning. It may be relevant to note that we hired Beth using the ARAG legal benefit plan provided by my partner's employer, and it was very easy and seamless - she handled all the paperwork and interaction with ARAG, and billed them directly. We very much appreciated that, especially since it seems clear from the ARAG website that some attorneys make the clients do all that legwork.
I came to Beth for help with my divorce and to prepare an agreement that would be fair to both me and my spouse and would be acceptable to the judge. Ours was an uncontested divorce, but there were still a lot of financial details and asset allocations to be sorted out. Beth was very supportive and patient, and offered her expert advice and counsel that allowed us to keep making progress in our sometimes difficult discussions. She was always reachable and very responsive throughout the process. I never felt uninformed or unaware of what the next steps or potential road blocks might be. She was sensitive, thoughtful and thorough. I was very happy with her services and would highly recommend her.
