About
Attorney Bernadette Gonzales, born and raised in North Denver, is honored to come ful circle and serve the community in which she has always been involved. Bernadette attended school locally at St. Catherine of Siena. She went to Maycrest and Ranum High Schools before earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting at Metropolitan State College of Denver. After starting a family and gaining invaluable real-life experience, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.Following her legal education, Ms. Gonzales served as a law clerk for a District Court Judge in the 17th Judicial District, Adams County. She has been in private practice since 2002. She has served on the State Access to Justice Commission and the Adams County Access to Justice Commission. She is the proud recipience of the Citizen of the Year award for the 17th Judicial District Access to Justice Committee. She served as a Commissioner on the 17th Judicial District Judicial Performance Commission. She is active in the community and is a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of the Colorado, Denver, Adams Broomfield, and Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Associations.In 2017, Bernadette moved her practice to its current location at 38th and Kipling. She and her team pride themselves on providing top-notch legal services at affordable prices to blue-collar families all over the Denver area.

She was with us through thick and thin on our child custody case . Had all her t’s crossed and her i’s dotted . I would recommend her to anyone !
BERNADETTE SHOWED UP ALMOST 1 HOUR LATE TO COURT. She said "Don't worry about it, it's not a big deal". We had just chatted 4 days before and put together a "plan of action" for said hearing. She walked in, filed her motions of appearance and discovery (Which she said she'd file the week before to expedite my case, obviously a fabrication) then postponed the case for a month ignoring our "plan of action" Bernadette then No showed the next court date and sent a text saying "Just tell the judge you fired me". When I told the judge and showed her the text, she said " Ms Gonzales should know that she has to withdraw from your case.and I can not speak with you until she does". I had to reset the case a month out to save some money to hire another attorney. When I asked for at least a portion of my $1000 back from Bernadette, she said "Read the contract, I'm not giving you anything" I'm not sure what she's going through as a person, as I know we all have our crosses to bear, but I will never do business with her again. I'm extremely disappointed as I considered Bernadette a friend. I was wrong Will
