Bennett put together an estate plan for me and also helped me with succession planning for my business. He was truly excellent! I was in a bit of a rush to get through the estate-planning process, and he went above and beyond in order to provide me with all of the knowledge I needed to make reasonable decisions, as well as prepare the related trust documents, etc., in a very short timeframe. I found Bennett to be extremely intelligent, and he also has a personality that I found quite refreshing. In fact, I was surprised at how he was able to lighten the mood and make it comfortable to discuss emotional issues without underemphasizing the importance of what we were trying to accomplish. I whole-heartedly recommend Bennett!
I met Bennett over four years ago on a ancillary gift tax issue associate with a real estate purchase. Bennett was more than generous with his time and expertise despite lack of direct gains. I was impressed by his command of the subject matter and his patience in explaining complex and some what arcane tax issues. Four years later, when it was time to set up my own estate, I went back to Bennett. Bennett immediately remembered who I was as well as mundane personal details of me and my family, despite having only spent a few hours with me four years ago. I was a little taken aback by but the warmth in his embrace and firmness of his handshake made me feel like I was seeing on old friend. He made my S.O. and I feel immediately at ease and took great lengths to map out the entire estate planning process, answering myriad of our seemingly endless and perhaps pedestrian questions along the way. Bennett always took the time to ask how things were going and was genuinely interested in us as people. We never felt rushed or judged. He was also generous and engaging about sharing things in his life, something that is more often overlooked by his peers in the profession. On the topic of the actual creation of estate plan, Bennett is patient, methodical, and inquisitive. On obscure scenarios that Bennett has not encountered previously, he has devoted hours to understanding the statutes and best practices, then comes back to present his findings and recommendations. He is truly the epitome of the term "counsel." I wholeheartedly recommend Bennett's services.
My husband & I have been extremely impressed and pleased by Bennett Braverman and his services in preparing a family trust for us. We hired Bennett in 2015 to put together the original version of the trust and we have now just finished up a 3 year review to update it. What could be a tedious and unpleasant task (who wants to talk about death?) has actually been... pleasurable! Bennett is extremely good at listening to how we want our trust structured and he has come up with excellent ways to make our ‘wants’ a reality. His ability to explain all our options very clearly is marvelous. Laws and tax implications have been changing, and he has adjusted the trust to make the most of the assets we will be passing along. As a bonus, his office staff is extremely helpful and everyone goes out of their way to make things go as smoothly as possible. To put the icing on the cake, Bennett has a warm, engaging personality (and an awesome Corgi office dog)!
Bennett and his associates have helped us with our estate planning. They have done an excellent job, especially in responding when we needed to make changes. They were also helpful when we needed a reference to other outside expertise. We have been with Bennett and his practice for some time and plan to keep the relationship.
We had the pleasure of meeting Bennett at the Boulder County Senior Law Day in August 2016. Bennett was presenting a seminar on Revocable Living Trusts. After listening to Bennett's presentation, we decided to contact Bennett to review our current Revocable Living Trust (RLT), which we had prepared for us initially in Michigan and updated in Ohio. Since we now live in Colorado, we decided to get the RLT updated to the Colorado standard for RLTs. Bennett walked us through the steps necessary for this updating. Bennett prepared a restated RTC in language we could understand, not just in lawyer legalese. Bennett also told us how to setup our beneficiaries for all of our IRAs, stocks, etc to conform to the RTL. Bennett prepared all our health documents and financial documents for power of attorneys and Hipaa requirements. Once the RTL was restated and completed, Bennett sat down with us and went over the entire restated RTL so we understood everything contained in the restated RTL. My wife and I feel very comfortable that our restated RTL meets our estate planning needs. Thanks Bennett.
I worked with Bennett Braverman in developing a revokable trust. I needed to address a number of knotty issues and had little personal knowledge or experience essential to making sound decisions. Bennett listened. He asked insightful questions, provided feedback and clear explanations of the impact of multiple alternate solutions. He walked me through potential pitfalls, gave me time to review and revise, patiently listened to every question and concern. I left each working session confident that I had a solid foundation for decision making. In summary, Bennett acted on my behalf with the highest measure of integrity, knowledge and focus on my personal interest.
I was lucky to meet Bennett about 10 years ago from a referral from a close friend. When I started asking my community if they had experience with him, he was RAVED about by those who had used his services, and what was surprising, was how MANY there were in my circle. Bennett helped me with a few items in my life, setting up my business LLC as well as consulting with me in regards my deceased mother's poor choice of a lawyer in Florida. His care and integrity during a difficult time for me was a gift. If you can make it easier on your kids when you leave the planet by using a kind and supportive being like Bennett, I would recommend doing it immediately. My experience closing my Mother's estate would have been completely different. I would urge you to give your family and kids the gift of this man who will support and care for them during a very challenging time.
Bennett Braverman is a thorough, knowledgable expert in his field. He did an excellent job in walking us through the Living Trust process, coaching us through decisions, and making sure we completely understood the what we had to do and the associated benefits and risks. We will continue to recommend him to our friends and look forward to partnering with Bennett in the future.
It was time for us to do our estate planning. Bennett was recommended to us so we called him. At the consultation appointment he explained the pros and cons of a trust and estate planning. He answered all our questions and guided our decision making without being intrusive. His reasonable common sense and competence are very reassuring and we feel very confident that our affairs are in good hands. The process was smooth and we now have the peace of mind that everything is in order. We were encouraged to call anytime and we will review the estate planning documents in three years unless needed sooner. We would recommend Bennett without hesitation.
