I went to Mr. Melnick with a very difficult case. Ben was very open, honest, and willing to do the hard work. My case got worse as time went on, the law came at me in every way they could. I was very scared, I was going to be convicted of a crime I didn't commit. Mr. Melnick covered every avenue the prosecutor came up with. If it wasn't Mr. Melnick, I would not have had a fair trial. If you need an attorney to dig his feet in and fight for you, Ben Melnick is the attorney on your side.

I was arrested for an apparent DUI after I hit a tree trying to avoid another car. I then failed the field sobriety test due to a medically documented inner-ear problem and seven broken ribs from the crash. After I requested an attorney, Ben was the only one who was willing to help in the middle of the night. He encouraged me not to give up and walked me through every step of the process while patiently answering any questions I had. He was perfectly willing to take time out of his day to alleviate any concerns I may have had; whether by phone, text or email he kept open lines of prompt communication available. I never felt anything less than confident and knowledgeable with Ben by my side throughout the entire process. Thanks to his knowledge, expertise, caring and professionalism my case was unanimously resolved in my favor and justice was served. I would highly recommend Ben to anyone who needs the best attorney!

Mr. Melnick was extremely professional, very attentive to details, thorough in his investigative techniques, and provided timely advice, and always provided clear options. Mr. Melnick extremely knowledgeable about the law, the intricacies, and had a very personable communication style that always put me at ease, even in my most anxious moments. His competence, confidence and composure were ever present in his presence before the judge and prosecution. I would not hesitate to hire Mr. Melnick again should the need arise.

Ben is a smart young attorney that will do great things in his career. He was extremely responsive through phone calls, email and text messaging. When I text him, he would always answer. He kept me calm through the preliminary court stuff. He was informative about my choices and didn't push to be settle for less than I wanted. When I decided I wanted to go through a jury trial for my case, he was excited and did a great job. He is just competitive enough to push people but not so competitive to piss people off. I won my case and would highly recommend him to people.

I would highly recommend Ben Melnick as a defense attorney. Ben always kept me informed and up to date during my case. Ben successfully defended me in my case. I was involved in an accident on my motorcycle where a car pulled out in front of me causing me to Tbone the car that had pulled out in front of me when I had right of way. I blacked out at the scene due to my extensive injuries and was later rushed to the hospital. The City Prosecutor charged me 5 months later with a DUI alcohol/marijuana combined based on a warrant they obtained from a Judge to take my blood the night of the accident. This even though I had not smoked/used any Marijuana that day and had very little alcohol in my blood...well under the limit. With Ben's knowledge of case law he was able to argue successfully that the details of my case showed that the police never had probable cause to get a warrant in the first place and my case was dismissed by the Judge at my trial. Ben is a true professional and I would certainly recommend his services anytime.

I wholeheartedly recommend Ben Melnick for any type of DUI case. The night I was arrested for DUI, I was panicking and called through the list of attorney names that were provided at the police station. Luckily, I was able to get a hold of Ben, and he was instantly helpful in providing advice on what I should and should do or say that night. Subsequently, I did a review of the DUI attorneys in the Vancouver area to select the lawyer I would use throughout my process. Although Ben has been licensed for only a short time, I was very impressed with his breadth of knowledge and acumen. Interestingly, as I interviewed other attorneys on the phone, two of them asked who else I was talking to. I mentioned Ben's name among others, and they said very positive things about him--even as they were competing for my business. Ben left no stone unturned as he examined the police report, the evidence, and the test results. He was able to get my administrative suspension (DOL) thrown out because the test was not performed precisely per WA state law. He interviewed the police officer during discovery and thoroughly evaluated the interview with the written report. He even went out the actual arrest location to gather information about the evening of my arrest. Throughout my ordeal, Ben was extremely helpful, compassionate, respectful, and knowledgeable. He treated me with dignity and helped me maintain positive focus when I was feeling overwhelmed and depressed, and very embarrassed. He always gave me balanced, informed advice, and helped me think through my options at every step. Ben was also very responsive and available. He took numerous calls from me to talk through the complexities of my case, was patient when I asked him the same question several times to truly understand the answer, and he provided me his cell phone number so I could text him anytime--day or night. I've worked with attorneys before who are very difficult to reach and may not respond for days, sometimes. Ben was always willing to respond to my questions and texts....truly admirable. Overall, I am deeply appreciative to Ben for his help and assistance through the entire process. I recommend him without hesitation, and would select him over attorneys with many years of experience.

After being arrested for a DUI, I was scared and embarrassed. Ben was professional, helpful, and never judgmental. Even when I thought I should give up on the case and take the charges given, Ben encouraged me to stay the course and allow him to handle the negotiations with the prosecuting attorney. Ultimately, the DUI charge (with a BAC over 0.15) was reduced to a reckless driving charge saving me money and preventing me from having a restricted license for 12 months. Ben is knowledgeable about the process and very helpful in all steps of navigating through a DUI charge. I highly recommend contacting Ben immediately if you are charged with a DUI, even if you think your case can't be redeemed.

I hired Ben for a DUI case. The officer that pulled me over made up his story of why he even pulled me over. He didn't have any evidence in the case. It basically came down to his word against mine. I worked with Ben for a whole year on my case because I didn't want to settle and take the deal of reducing my DUI to Neg1. I had a perfectly clean record. I took the case all the way to trial. The case went into a mistrial because of the officers attorney. Once that happened Ben seemed to of given up, and didn't want to work on my case anymore. He also seemed like he was more concerned in protecting the officers reputation than mine because the office had been on the force for 20 years. After the mistrial he basically tried scare tactics to have me take the plea deal, saying they can press other charges against me if I didn't take the deal and if tried to go to trial again. After all of that time I ended up taking the plea deal for a Neg1 because I was running out of money to keep paying for the all of the court and lawyer fees. Any $1,000 lawyer could of done what he did. I spent $4,000+ with Ben thinking that he would have everything dropped like we talked about during the whole process. Now I'm stuck with that Negligent 1 on my record forever.
