About
Mr. Azbell grew up the second of five children in a small town in rural Ohio. After high school, he spent a few years in technical college to study ecotourism before transferring to the Ohio State University where he graduated with a degree in comparative studies, specializing in comparative religion. Following his undergraduate education, he decided to attend law school.During law school Mr. Azbell wrote a law review article, was a member of the law review editorial board, and participated in several mock court and trial advocacy competitions. In the summer of 2007 he worked as an intern at White & Steele, P.C. in Denver where he assisted in the defense of negligence cases. He graduated law school in 2008 and shortly thereafter began working as an Assistant United States Attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Wyoming. At the U.S. Attorney's Office, Mr. Azbell handled a wide array of civil cases ranging from medical malpractice and slip and fall cases, to easement disputes and Title VII employment discrimination claims. He has defended several cases appealed to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Azbell also received extensive training during his time at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, including a two week intensive trial advocacy course at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina.
