I was dealing with the insurance company myself at the beginning of my injury and it was frustrating..Being a stubborn person and very persistent I dealt with getting tossed from adjuster to adjuster..It seemed I had someone new handling my claim every other week. And things such as approvals for things from PT to simple x-rays took longer and longer as each new adjuster said they had to get informed on my claim.. I decided to hire an attorney when I got staff infection post surgery and had the picline put in my arm and the company was ready to send the IV antibiotics and ,guess what? A new adjuster.... The company could not get the approval to send me the medication.... I did make phone calls until I couldn't get transferred any higher up the chain of command at the insurance company and got the approval. That's the point I decided as much as I generally don't like to deal with lawyers, to hire one. I contacted Kaelin and Grant and made an appointment. They day I had the pleasure of meeting Ben Grant and his paralegal Heather. I was impressed by the way he explained how the workers comp system works and in a way that was understandable to me. Not a bunch of legal terms that I had to go Google.. I also felt from both Ben and Heather that they actually cared and I wasn't just another number..Throughout my case Heather worked hard to get the things recommended by my doctor, Although some of those things weren't always easy, she fought and got them done or would team up with Ben and get it done.. Either Heather or Ben were available when I had questions or would get back to me the same day. I was not always the easiest to deal with as I would get frustrated and angry and unfortunately it would sometimes come out on them. They completely understood and again would explain things to me and calm me down.... I would HIGHLY recommend Kaplin and Grant and Definitely Ben Grant.. He made an unpleasant experience bearable. Also kudos to Heather. She is also awesome..
Going through my settlement case was probably one of the most stressful things Ive had to deal with but Ben and his paralegal Heather were nothing short of amazing. My questions were always answered quickly and thoroughly and even when some things that needed to be dealt with didn't make much sense to me, they both took the time to explain and help me through the maze to an outcome I was content with. I would (and have) recommended Kaplan and Grant (in particular Ben Grant and Heather) to family and friends and would not hesitate to hire them again in the future if needed.
I was receiving worker's compensation for a work related injury. I had to fight with the insurance company to receive my benefits timely and to get medical bills and prescriptions covered. As most people know workers compensation is a fraction of what you were making when you were working. Living on this reduced amount was difficult enough but any interruption in my benefits would have been devastating to my family financially. I contacted several attorneys but none would take my case because the insurance company had accepted liability. A friend referred me to Ben. Ben and his paralegal Heather made things significantly less stressful. They were on top of my weekly benefits and in the event I didn't receive them timely they would handle it immediately. I no longer had to fight to just go to the doctor or get a prescription refilled. If I did have a question they would respond the same day. They were also able to get me voc rehab so that I could get assistance finding a job that I could manage with my injury. The insurance company sent me to multiple functional capacity exams and independent medical exams. I am confident that had I not had fantastic representation my benefits would have been stopped. At that point another attorney may have been willing to take on my case however I would have gone without weekly benefits while it was being fought. Going through the workers compensation process is brutally stressful on top of having to deal with your injury. I cannot imagine how much worse things would have been without having Ben and Heather. Finally, after 5 years of dealing with everything Ben was able to get me a fair settlement.
I highly recommend Ben Grant. Himself and Heather were there through it all with me. Always responsive to any of my questions. They kept me up to date on anything new.
From the first time I contacted Kaplan and Grant Law firm regarding my Workers Compensation case, Ben and the staff were fantastic. They continuously kept me updated during the progression of the case, and most importantly I was given excellent advice which resulted in a successful settlement. I would definitely hire and recommend Ben Grant if needed, he is the “Best of the Best” and his staff are second to none. Thank you Ben!
After being injured at work and my injuries left me unable to perform work functions and limited my driving capability, I sought out legal counsel. This lead me to the offices of Kaplan & Grant. Ben Grant and his team have many years of experience. When faced with a serious challenge in your life you want someone on your side. Ben and his team were there every step of the way. For three years they fought for me. They helped me through difficult times of emotional, mental and physical setbacks. His staff, especially Ben’s Paralegal Heather Gosch, was always there to help me along the way. Ben’s legal expertise helped navigate through a very difficult process. If you need an SSDI or Workman's comp lawyer, and someone on your side, he is your guy! He fights for you! Thanks Ben!
I was very happy with Ben's service. He helped me with all the questions that I ran into during the course of my case. I would highly recommend him.
I would like to extend my thanks to you and the firm for the excellent representation and advice supplied to me. My questions, calls and concerns, etc were treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. You and your staff especially Paralegal Heather Gosch, were always there to help me through the “rough times” and assure me along the way as to the proper procedure. I am delighted by the end result. Thank you!
I had a Workman Comp case that lasted about 6 years. Mr. Grant was very supportive, informative and available during that time. He took the time to explain the process at every step and was always willing to explain further when clarification was needed. He and his team quickly resolved concerns regarding medical issues and payments. Mr. Grant and his team work for their client as a priority making them feel important and listened to during a difficult time of mental, emotional, and physical setbacks.
Was in need of a workers comp lawyer and my final decision was with Mr. Grant. What a great decision I made. Mr. Grant done an amazing job handling my case and I recommend him to anyone.
