Ben helped me with 2 cases-both impossible at the beginning both ending with the best possible outcome. The first was a personal injury case in which the offending party in turn falsely accused me of insurance fraud. I had 2 totally incompetent attorneys before Ben. NO ONE wants to be anyone's 3rd attorney. I had solid proof that the insurance company had acted in bad faith and and that they were trying to bully me into taking a lower or NO settlement. My first attorney dropped the case because he was afraid of the challenge and never had seen a case with these particular circumstances. The second attorney had never seen the type of proof that I had gathered against the insurance company on my own and had REFUSED to act at my instruction or in my best interest. When I explained the case to Ben, he believed me and asked me "What would it take to make you whole again?" Ben wrote one letter, had the insurance adjustor rightfully shaking in his shoes and got me triple the original offer. The second case was heartbreaking-I had to evict a tenant that I had become close friends with. I had originally shared the house with the tenant, but moved out of state. After my move, the tenant rented the entire house. The tenant had what could be seasonal, yet extremely high paying work and I understood that the tenant may be late on some months and pay ahead on others. The tenant was also a highly skilled craftsman and could build a house from scratch and did some repairs and improvements. I told the tenant that I wanted to work with him to reimburse him when appropriate. Work got done, paperwork didn't reach me and rent was short and this reached the point where I felt I had no choice but to evict. Ben got me to reframe the situation in my mind realistically and I got BETTER than the best possible outcome. The tenant and I agreed on an amount and other details, shook hands and agreed no animosity-friends again. This NEVER would have been possible without Ben. I hold a paralegal certificate and know the state of MA requires an attorney to be present for real estate closings and Ben will have my business for this too. ALL parties walked away feeling good, even the defendant whom was not represented.
