I really appreciate how quickly Barbara responded to my inquiry!
I hired Barbra Morton to handle my divorce. She is kind, honest and to the point. I always felt that the final decisions were mine to make. She advised and truly gave legal counsel. She educated me on many topics I was ignorant about and enabled me to make informed decisions. The paralegals in the office were always available and returned calls and calmed me when I was frantic. I discovered quickly that they are a team and work together to provide the best solutions possible. Nothing went to opposing counsel without my seeing it first. She sought out the genius of another lawyer in the firm Cynthia Peterson, a wiz at retirement and tax laws, to assist with those issues. Together they brainstormed a solution that enabled me to keep my home. Cynthia spent, literally, hours on the phone with me working through, what I thought, were some really complicated issues. I think one of the most important things Ms. Morton did was help and my children and I to heal. She helped me to release some of the pain and resentment and to talk to my children’s father and this, in turn, is enabling my children to work towards repairing their relationship with their father. For this I will be forever grateful. Divorce is not easy for anyone, but Barbara Morton and the team at Tedone & Morton made it much less painful.
I hired Barbara Morton to assist with my divorce. All paperwork that needed to be done for court was always sent a day before the court day not sufficient time to look over the documents. I did not feel I was apart of the decision nor was the paperwork explain to me. Even once the divorce was finalized, I still had paperwork that was not completed and submitted which impacted me financially.
