About
Since 2007 I have been defending people charged with both major and minor crimes. I run a solo-practice, so when you call, you will talk directly to me. No secretaries to screen my callers, no new law school grads to hand your file to.When you go to court, I will be there with you. By the time we have gone to court, I will have taken the time to answer all your questions and concerns regarding your case. For most cases in district court, I charge one flat rate as my fee.* Whether we have one court appearance, or multiple, the rate is the same. As a public defender, I represented thousands of clients. As a private attorney, I am able to limit the amount of cases I take so that I can spend as much time with each of my clients as they need me to. I also tried over 30 cases to a jury, and as many or more trials in front of a Judge. This is important, because in most cases you have the right to a jury trial, and you want an attorney who is not afraid to take the time and the work to try your case. You also want an attorney who is accessable to answer your questions and concerns. You do not want an attorney who will pressure you into taking a plea, and try to get a Probation before Judgement. You want an attorney who will advise you of all the facts in the case, the law, and the risks, and encourages YOU to make the decisions of how to resolve it. Prior to becoming an attorney, I spent more than 10 years in the restaurant and bar business. There, I learned the importance of customer service. I learned that all messages should be returned the same day if possible. Next day at the latest. I am also aware that for many people, taking time of of their work to go to court is difficult enough. Taking time off to meet with your attorney should not be an added burden. I am always happy to work around your schedule, and meet in the evenings, if that is more convenient for you. As the husband of a military member, I also know the difficulties that come with being active duty, and the family of an active duty member. I offer payment plans for active duty and their families. If you are restricted to base, I have access to the bases, and can come to you. When looking at attorney ads, every attorney claims to be "experienced, dedicated and aggressive." Those are all important qualities in an criminal defense attorney. However, you should also be comfortable with your attorney, and be satisfied that he will treat you like a person, and not just another file. You need to know that the attorney will be there to talk to you between the time you retain him or her, and the time you go to court. Those are the additional qualities I provide. Flexable scheduling, reasonable flat rates, and working with you to help you make the best decision for you. *There may be addition court costs and fees that pertain to your case, in addition to my fee. These may include costs of expert witnesses, transcripts, and medical records.

Attorney Weinberg is professional, caring, experienced and sincere, among many other positive traits that is rare to find in an attorney in the DMV area. He treats you with respect and not like another number or case, which is what I admire the most about him. I don't usually do reviews and this is my first 1 on this website, so take my word on it and see about Attorney Weinberg for yourself!
Asher is not your typical lawyer. He has been unbelievably helpful. He has gone above and beyond helping me. Not just once or twice but more. He is patient with your questions and never makes you feel rushed. He treats you with respect and more then just another case. It is pleasant to never have to deal with a reception. Just Asher. You literally feel like you are his only client. When your on the phone, by text or in person. There will never be any words that truly describe how thankful i am to asher. He has been a incredible wealth of knowledge beyond just the court rooms or case. Feel safe knowing that asher has your best interest. I have called him up just seeking advice or suggestions. On other circumstances. And everytime he took the time to explain it to me. When stress and grief made processing the info extremely difficult. He walked me through it. Asher never once got short or hurryed me off. Truly if you want a lawyer who will be there for you. Fight for you. And always be there even after your case is over. Asher is your lawyer. I wouldn't waist your time or energy bothering with anyone else.
I contacted attorney Weinberg last month; although my case was not a specific of his expertise; he spent a great amount of time to give me excellent suggestions and referred me to a different attorney; only via phone. I think attorneys like Mr. Asher Weinberg are not too easy to find. Most of the attorney, I had a chance to contact, want to earn your business with regard of their proficiency in that particular field. I will keep him in mind for my future needs
I hired this guy to defend me against a DUI/DWI setup. I should've known better when I had to make my case to the guy. Let alone that I was sighted as failing several balance tests with a bad hip and walking with a cane. He bid the case up to a jury trial and LEFT me. Yes, the guy left and didn't even notify me, ne reason, no nothing. Thankfully I found an excelllent lawyer. I've since had a hip replacement. I provided my medical recprds and the state dropped the DUI/DWI and offered reckless. The judge offered PBJ, no pts, and since COVID delayed everything the PBJ was 1 day. My excellent lawyer also got the DUI/DWI expunged. Walk away from this guy.
