Art advises his clients in the areas of Business Growth and Tax Planning, Business Sales and Acquisitions, Exit and Succession Planning, and Real Estate. Prior to joining the Minor & Brown team in April, 2014, Art worked for a national firm based in Denver. He received his B.A. from Tulane University in New Orleans, and then went on to receive his J.D. and LL.M. in taxation in 2013 from University of Denver Sturm College of Law. While attending Sturm, he was a national finalist in the 12th Annual ABA Tax Challenge, received the #1 Grade in the Graduate Tax Program in Tax Research and Writing, received the Schramm Foundation Scholarship over multiple academic quarters, received the Colorado Bar Association Section of Taxation Annual Outstanding Student Award and Scholarship, and excelled in several moot court/negotiation competitions. He additionally completed internships in the Public Officials Unit of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, a local firm focusing on corporate and employment litigation, and a tax, executive compensation, and employee benefits consulting firm. Prior to law school, Art worked extensively in real estate and asset management. Art finds value in demonstrating effective leadership in the community. He is currently the President of the Tulane Alumni Association of Colorado, a member of the Western Pension & Benefits Council, a past participant of Lawyers in the Classroom, served on the Board of Directors of Empowerment International, a program dedicated to educating children in Central America, and participated in Hurricane Katrina relief efforts on many levels. In his free time, Art enjoys competitive/recreational sailing, skiing, fly fishing, Cajun and Southern cooking, and especially spending time with his wife, Kendall, and their dog, Molson.
