I have worked with April since 2006 and she is an honest and fair woman. She cares about the people she represents so she gives it to you straight. She wants you to be prepared for all outcomes, not just the happy ones. We have had wins and losses but there is no other lawyer I would want in my corner.
I have finally finished up with my divorce following a 3 year separation, It took so long due to the fact that my ex and her attorney were so far apart of dividing property equally that my attorney advised me to wait the legal time to go into a masters hearing, unlike other attorneys that will go back and forth with a counter offer, she was obedient and did not want me to waste money for a totally unfair offer by my ex and her attorney, so as it turned out to be a win for us at the masters hearing, we got our equal split of the properties as the law calls for, April is the best and super intelligent in her field.
Over 7 yrs, not a complex divorce but no resolution in sight. Came highly recommended. Office often closed when I stop at random times; simple documents promised go undelivered; occasional phone calls returned wks later or not at all. Needs to be more staff and/or Written Documentation for Attorney Cordts' tasks, deadlines, and fees promised in completion of divorce process. My case is a train wreck. In over my head due to newly created debt as result of a case that is barely being managed. Waiting for closure is about as certain as waiting to win lottery. I wish you well in seeking as many referrals as you can from people who've had SUCCESSFUL divorces. Remember a Divorce is not a Divorce until there is CLOSURE. This is not the place for closure or peace of mind.
This law office is disgraceful. They NEVER answer their phone. They do not reply to emails. She and her assistant prepare for court the day before, or the morning of, a hearing. She also missed one of my hearings. If you are going through a divorce and want someone to fight for you, run....because she is not the lawyer for you.
