I hired Mr. Palaigos to help secure certification for the Maryland Department of Transportation as Minority Business Enterprises and as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. Although my business partner and I found his manner to be a bit arrogant (he made several condescending remarks about our business), we were satisfied with his confidence that helping us get the certification would be a breeze. Well, thousands of dollars later, he said that our petition had been denied--and he tried to blame it on us for not giving him all the information when we'd given him all of the information that he asked for! For what it's worth, we ended up biting the bullet and hiring another attorney who was able to help us easily through the process, no problem.
