Anthony has been my attorney for a little over three years now. He has proven countless times that he is dedicated, committed, professional, meticulous, competent, organized and easily goes "above" above and beyond. Our case is almost wrapping up and he is still consistently wonderful, loyal and friendly! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Tony Cogan is the attorney who represented me, during what was at the time, a horrible custody battle. I met with Tony on many occasions during my court proceedings. Tony has a gift of making others feel comfortable and at ease, even during the most extremely stressful of situations. I truly believe, that Tony is a gentlemen, genuine person and a great attorney. I highly recommend Tony to anyone looking for a family law attorney, ( ie: divorce, custody, support). I am honored to write this review for Tony Cogan.

I was recommended to Anthony Cogan from another attorney who turned down my back child support case back in 2012 due to my inability to pay the retainer fee. NOT even an hour after I contacted Mr. Cogan for assistance, he returned my call & scheduled a meeting. I explained my financial situation, and he took my case! He was GOD sent to me at that time. I have since then had Mr. Cogan as my attorney in all matters related to child support. In court, Mr. Cogan is very professional, and does not back down. Mr. Cogan keeps me informed at all times of any and all matter. I have recommended Mr. Cogan to family and friends that are looking for a good lawyer. I will continue to retain Mr. Cogan for all my legal needs.

After being charged for many years for the support of a child who was not mine, I appealed to Mr. Cogan for help. By the time I contacted him, all of my assets had been frozen and my drivers license suspended. I was jobless and homeless. As Mr Cogan had helped with the original court order disestablishing paternity years ago, he was shocked and deeply concerned that I had not brought this to his attention before. I told him that I had no money to retain him and therefore thought there was nothing he would do. He expressed such concern and regret for the years I had lost that he immediately went to work on my problem and resolved it in a matter of weeks! He was always timely with his responses and helpful with his advice, sent me copies of his correspondence on my behalf, and followed up with me until he was sure that no further payments were being withdrawn from my meager checks. He has even offered to help me recoup the payments made over the last many years, all of this without asking for one penny in compensation. I sacrificed valuable time believing that no lawyer would take the time to help me unless I could come up with more money. Mr. Cogan's attention and personal concern for me at this difficult time was both surprising and most appreciated. I only wish I asked sooner. I would certainly recommend this attorney to friends.

Mr. Cogan was supportive during a very stressful 2 plus year divorce. I was informed of my rights, the law and our strategy. Mr. Cogan repeatedly explained the divorce process, filings and its intricacies whenever I asked questions or became frustrated with the situation. He was honest and fair with his invoice charges and promptly mailed all copies of legal documents to my attention so I was kept up-to-date. I have, without reservation, recommended Mr. Cogan as a divorce attorney to both a friend and an acquaintance.

KEEP AWAY!!! Don’t waste your time and money on this attorney so you would save yourself from the emotional pain and the bad outcomes of your divorce and custody that would follow you for the rest of your life. I have retained Mr. Antony C Cogan to help me with my divorce case and per our first meeting I have informed Mr. Cogan of all the issues that I am facing and I have provided him with all the necessary documentation. At first Mr. Cogan came across as very confident and knowledgeable person and at the time I believed that I made the right decision retaining Mr. Cogan. After retaining him I have never missed a monthly payment that we have priorly agreed upon. When I retained him he convinced me that I should not go to a custody trial and I agreed believing in what he was saying. After our initial meeting I have experienced a total lack of communication from Mr. Cogan never been properly informed of the new developments with respect to my divorce case. If I had questions for Mr. Cogan I could only call his office and hope that he is there because I had no other means of getting in touch with him except emailing but sometimes I needed a response to my questions the very same day not the next or whenever Mr. Cogan would find time. Mr. Cogan not only failed to keep me informed but he failed to represent me and he failed to respond to a request to Admit Facts which ultimately caused my divorce case to be entered in default. I was not properly informed especially for my trial which was suppose to be the trial day and more specific the closing day of my divorce after almost two years of an ugly divorce and custody battle. He did not prepare me for that day nor inform me that it would be the final day and we ended up spending eight hours in the courthouse hallway trying to put up with my ex-wife and her attorney’s mockery towards me and my child. If he have had the courtesy to inform me that that is the final trial date even if he wouldn’t prepare me I would have prepare myself mentally, emotionally and physically without causing me to collapse in the hallway of the courthouse and being picked up by an ambulance resulting in me not being able to proceed in ending my divorce and custody that day. I couldn’t wait to finish this charade of a divorce which lasted almost 2 painful years that costed me my health. Because of his incompetence my divorce and custody that tortured me for almost 2 years ended up being entered in default not mentioning that I have never missed a court date ever since my divorce started. I never knew what is going on and what issues would be discussed at each court date not mentioning that I was not told by Mr. Cogan when would be the final court date. When I have told Mr. Cogan that he acted extremely unprofessional and that he caused my divorce and custody to be entered in default he vehemently denied it. I have explained to Mr. Cogan that his poor, unprofessional and incompetent representation caused me lots of emotional and financial distress and that I will take legal action against him with hope that he will be prevented from doing the same thing to other desperate fathers. After two years I am still trying to undo the great mistakes that Mr.Cogan made on my custody and divorce case.

Sincerely very dissapointed

I hired Mr. Cogan for a child custody case that had been dragged on for years and he did absolutely NOTHING to wrap the case up. When we were in court, he was all over the place as if he did not review my case at all. He recommended that I pay my husband who had taken my children from me child support (although we had joint visitation) and I was fighting to get them back. He does not have a backbone at all. He never presented any information to the judge on my behalf and my husband was pro se' was walking circles around him and never been to law school a day in his life. I would not recoomend this attorney to my worst enemy. He is completely useless in the courtroom .

I retained him and my ex was pro-se and still managed to get everything he petitioned for. mr.Cogan advised me not to show up for hearings, basically never objected to any of my ex's requests and barely responded to my phone calls, e-mails etc. he never gave me his cell # therefore I couldn't reach him after hours if needed, he also made the worst recommendations during the case. He never briefed me before any hearings, never made my ex do any depositions and NEVER discussed any strategies on how we would handle things in the case. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to this guy.
