Mercedes Represented me in an immigration asylum case -I guess when she was fresh out of school-; the Lawyer I chose came highly recommended and he assigned my case to her when he partnered the firm she was working for after i retained him. She worked with me every step of the way, found a body of expert witnesses to testify, and build such a solid file, that even after a two years delay due to the court messed up schedule, by which time, she had left the firm and i went back to my original attorney. And due to her work, 8 hours of litigation on court day, the immigration attorney could not poke a hole in my case, and the judge (whom had a record of rejection and decline higher than 70% of his cases - if i recall the numbers correctly-) seemed as if made up his mind on granting us asylum. It gets even better, for the Immigration attorney, informed my lawyer 2 days later that he did not want to contest the decision if it was favorable. and boy it was. The only choke was she did not witness her and our triumph as our attorney. but a court mistake remedy that for on the records it seemed, she was still a representative and was not omitted. thus the final decision went out to her who in turn forwarded it to my current attorney. she even called us couple of days later because she felt that a congratulation was in order. Mercedes, thank you for what you did to us, for without you we would probably be suffering the same fate as millions of Syrians are suffering now. Please know that you are the best thing happened to us, and we will be in your debt for as long as we live.

Had an appointment with Ms. Ryden to clarify issues with my case. Ms. Ryden promised to give me clear information. At the end of the first appointment she told me that she cannot tell me anything, that I needed to set more appointments. At this point, I realized that she was after taking as much money as possible, and prolonging things for as long as I would pay.
