About
I grew up in Palmer Township, just southeast of St. Cloud, MN. After attending St. Cloud State University to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Studies, I worked as a juvenile probation officer, construction laborer and paralegal before returning to school to receive my law degree from Hamline University School of Law. Prior to opening Wipper Law and Custody Evaluation Center, PLLC, I worked in several areas around the state, most recently in Brainerd, MN for four and half years. I have worked on a wide varierty of cases including family law, criminal law, child protection, civil cases, guardianship/conservatorship, gun rights restorations, etc. Outside of practicing law, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children. When we aren't running around or playing with the kids, I enjoy outdoor activities and sports.

Andrew cares deeply about his clients, and you can tell. He has been attentive, straight forward, and no nonsense down to earth attorney. He has helped us through the process of a child custody case. He is quick to answer questions and his work is thourough.
I went to Andrew at Ed Shaw Law in hopes of finding some relief in keeping custody of my children. Not only was he understanding of the situation but he was straightforward in what would have to happen and what to expect. It was easy to feel confident with him on my side and I was right in feeling so as I now have custody of all three of my children! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone in need of legal help.
I hired Andrew to handle a tough divorce for me and my wife. We had struggled along for quite some time before we made the difficult decision to hire a lawyer to help us through the divorce. My questions were answered and he made the process go smoothly for us, even though it was very hard to do. Would recommend him to anyone. Very helpful and compassionate.
Andrew was not the first attorney I have ever worked with, but he is definitely the best. My DUI case was tough, but he got me a fair deal, and took the stress out of the process. Andrew knew how to get my license back as soon as possible which let me keep my job.
I had been holding off on custody of my daughter for too long when I went and talked to Andrew. He was honest with me about issues and was straight forward from the start. In the end Andrew handled my case very well and got the result I was looking for. I would recommend him to anyone looking for help in a custody case.
After Ed in the office handled my divorce I went to Andrew to update my Will and Health Care directive documents. Andrew was professional and helped me with what to do with my property after my divorce. Andrew was able to craft my will quickly and really set my mind at ease during a difficult time. Working with this law firm was a great experience.
The first meeting with Andrew was great and gave us great information. He talked to us on our level. I felt Andrew knew the legal laws and what he didn't know he researched. Andrew was quick writing up the legal papers and entering them with court. He kept us updated with emails and phone calls . The day of court Andrew was pleasant, courteous, and well prepared, court day was so easy because of him.
He was always professional and courteous! He always answered my emails within hours and sometimes even after hours. He was never too busy to talk to me about my case and/or concerns. I really enjoyed that he really knew what he was talking about and how he handled the case in court. Without him I would have not only lost I would have been lost. I highly recommend him to any individual seeking help in a family court matter! I would hire him again in a heartbeat if I need to.
Worst experience I've ever had. He never calls back or email back. I should have known better when it took multiple phone calls to hire him because of no calls back.
Andrew made promises he was unable to keep. Payment wise he said he would "work with me" this was untrue and I do not even think he has the ability to "work" with someone as he works under Ed Shaw. He left all the work up to the other parties lawyer i.e. writing the agreement, etc. I explained clearly what I wanted regarding custody, holidays, medical, child support, etc and Andrew agreed to make these desires clear to the other party. However, upon our mediation he would say things like "it's only a matter of hours difference" and encouraged me to agree to what the other party was demanding. I suppose he knew trial would be a tough expense for me and just wanted to be done with the case. He charged me thousands of dollars and honestly I could have handled it all myself as he did nothing beneficial to my case.
