Anastasia’s practice is focused primarily on family law matters. Anastasia’s diverse legal background gives her a multi-faceted perspective on the law and allows her to see the big picture when advising her clients. She is motivated by a deep sense of empathy and understating of human motivations. Anastasia’s preference is to negotiate settlements that are tailored to parties’ unique needs, however, if settlement is not feasible, she is a fierce litigator who always acts in her clients’ best interest.Anastasia has over five years of valuable professional experience in transactional and litigation matters. Most recently, Anastasia prosecuted criminal matters as a City Attorney for the City of Aurora, Colorado. As a prosecutor, Anastasia worked closely with victims of domestic violence and other crimes. She spent most days in the courtroom and performed over twenty trials, including jury trials. Anastasia loves the courtroom and is very passionate about preparing and presenting cases.Anastasia began her legal career as an associate at a personal injury law firm in Los Angeles but decided to return to her home state of Colorado and take a position as Corporate Counsel at a real estate investment firm in Denver. She was soon promoted to General Counsel and became responsible for the legal representation of the parent company and its subsidiaries. Anastasia advised management on various legal matters, including employment law, landlord-tenant law, corporate law, securities, and real estate acquisition.Originally from Eagle, Colorado, Anastasia graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2013 with a degree in Philosophy. She continued her education at Pepperdine University School of Law where she received a Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine’s prestigious Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. Anastasia is licensed to practice law in both Colorado and California. While attending law school, Anastasia participated in a clinical program providing pro-bono legal services to victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, and other gender-based crimes. Additionally, she interned at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, where she assisted in the prosecution of complex criminal cases. Anastasia received the CALI Award for Excellence for the Future in Community Property and Family Law Mediation.
