I found Amy during a time of great difficulty and stress due to a pending legal case. She was incredibly sensitive, relatable and accommodating. She was able to extract key, pertitnant points out of an abundance of information I had conveyed, while listening with sensitivity. In court she is direct, keeps on point, and is unyielding and fierce on behalf of her client. With extreme competency of the law and court proceedings, she has no tolerance for her client being bullied by opposing counsel and or mislead in any way. She is communicative, professional, and responsive. It's evident she enjoys and has a passion for her craft and it presents itself from the first meeting with her to completion of the case. I would always feel a sense of relief after speaking with her. I've had the unfortunate experience of having to be in court twice on two legal matters that pertained to some false accusations, exaggerated claims, and the ending of a relationship. Both cases were ruled in my favor. She is respected by the judge and her peers. (Although, maybe not so much by opposing attorney for whom she wiped up the floor with and still may be licking his wounds, poor thing). Amy's persona is one of openness and acceptance. I felt I could be open about very sensitive personal things for which as anyone knows can be difficult with someone you don't know. Her knowledge and cultural competence (whether that be ethnicity, sexuality, gender) is excellent and harbors not one shred of judgement. On both occasions, Amy has taken the time after court to debrief which always provided a sense of follow up and closure. She's not afraid to tell her client the truth and some things that may be hard to hear in the spirit of what's best for the case. Because Amy is so receptive and sensitive, it is that much easier to divulge the more "uncomfortable" issues that pertain to the case which is absolutely necessary for superior representation. I never felt like I was just her client for whom she was getting paid to represent. She is a genuine, sincere person who really wants the best for her client (whatever that client determines it to be for themselves) and she will fight for that outcome. I believe Amy could have requested dismissal within the first 20 minutes of my court case due to her incredible competency of the law. But she took into consideration that this particular case was more than that for me. It was my chance to have a voice and finally express and expose the untruths that were being told. Amy knew my need for a voice and healing in this court proceeding. She proceeded with assistance in helping express just. Amy has an incredible skill of not only listening but HEARING you. She was compassionate and empathetic yet had no issue being direct when it came to what was in my best legal interest. I'm incredibly thankful for Amy and I will say I'm also incredibly grateful I wasn't on the receiving end of her in court. I highly recommend Amy if you are in search of an attorney who is extraordinarily competent, professional, but yet is highly capable of a personable, relatable approach. You don't feel as though you're just another client. Amy's success in the court room derive from her knowledge of the law and her ability to know what is needed. She's reasonable and willing to made efforts at meeting in the middle, compromising, if that's what you so desire and think is best. She won both my cases by being competent of the law, professional, quick to object, and her skill, as opposed to strong arming or being a bully. The only downside is you may find yourself almost feeling embarrassed and sad for the other side after she is through with them. I highly recommend Amy as counsel.
