Having to have an attorney is bittersweet, no matter what. No one WANTS to have to have an attorney, especially to end their marriage. But having someone as communicative and sympathetic and Amber and her team made me at least feel like I had a support system. No matter how much I want my ex to be fair and reasonable....no one else can MAKE him a good person, and no one else can change the fact that I had kids with him. All they can do is follow the law, fight for my rights, and try to get me through this difficult time and I could not be happier with my team.
Ms. Billick handled my case with the utmost care. Her staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to help me through a difficult time.
Amber is an excellent attorney. She was always straightforward and honest about the circumstances and what was realistic. When she didn't know the answer to something she researched it and found the answer for me. I was really impressed with how prepared she was when we went to trial. I was so nervous and she put me at ease. I don't know what I would have done without Amber's and the team at her law firms help. I was fighting the hardest battle of my life and they were there for me the whole way. I would absolutely recommend Amber!! I hope she knows how much I appreciate all she did for me and my children. Thanks You!!
Everything I needed help with was accomplished! The attorney and staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a lengthy process, however I was kept up to date with any progress. I will definitely return with any future legal needs!
I hired this attorney to fight the battle of my life with an abusive ex-husband. I felt she did not communicate well. In one court appearance, I sat watching her walk around without even making eye contact while I was sitting there. I was uninformed, did not know where I should be or what to do. I did not know what was going on. I tried to explain I needed more communication, that I had left voice messages, sent e-mails and did not get a response. I was frightened and running out of money without any support except for an attorney who had my last funds and would not talk to me. In my opinion, this is not the way an attorney should make their client feel during representation.
I went through a divorce case in Concord a couple of years ago. Ms. Billick did not do a discovery on my ex-spouse. She was supposed to represent me for the arbitration part. She didn't even contact me to let me know that the arbitration had been postponed. Image my surprise finding this out a day before I thought this was going to take place. After finding this out, I had no recourse but to fire her. Her lack of communication puts her on the cusp of violating the code of ethics set forth by the NC bar association.
