I admit I was a little worried about hiring a lawyer for my dissolution because I had this idea that they increased tension between parties and made for a more combative experience. I couldn't have been more wrong. Although Amanda was clearly my advocate and worked hard for me, hiring her actually sped the process and made it less contentious. She is incredibly responsive, highly knowledgeable, reassuring, and funny. (Funny matters when you're going through something like this). I felt fully supported and as if she understood what was important to me and her advocacy reflected this. She is terrific.

After we left court I asked why and she told me that I would have to pay her another 4k to have the rest of my case argued after I had already paid her 3k. She also added erroneous charges to my bill and threatened to take me to collections for a $200 balance that I was making consistent payments on. Beware if you retain her as she also retains a copy of your credit card information on her bill pay site to use to set your account up in auto pay without your consent or knowledge. I would not recommend her. I am a woman who needed an attorney to fight for me and thought Amanda would be a good choice and after retaining her I feel swindled and in a worse predicament that I was prior.
