As good as it gets the second time around with the prestigious firm of Wisselman, Harounian and Associates and my lawyer Jordan Trager. Fast forward five years from my divorce and I was met with a situation that was handled expeditiously, professionally, and with positive results. I would highly recommend Jordan Trager to be your legal counsel if you choose this firm for your legal help.
Jordan has been representing me during my current divorce proceeding which is close to being finalized. Jordan is attentive, knowledgeable and we worked well together to develop a reasonable stipulation with my future ex-wife and her lawyer. He is also very knowledge of the Nassau County Divorce Court System (e.g. judges, lawyers, procedures, etc.) which I believe was a benefit in my case. I would recommend Jordan to others who unfortunately, find themselves in need of a divorce lawyer.
Jordan Trager and the rest of the staff did nothing short of save my life. They took a dire situation that had me in fear of losing my family and entire world and brought it to the best conclusion I could have hoped for. Jordan was attentive and knowledgeable while expertly knowing when to utilize a soft touch and when to get tough. Furthmore, I never met an attorney or a firm that put their client above their billable hours. Even the billing department was understanding and worked with me. Divorce and litigation is never something you want to go through, but if you do..... Jordan and his team are who you want behind you. My children and I are forever in his debt.
Jordan represented me in a family matter case which was very long - he did a superb job and I couldn’t have been happier with his level of knowledge and presentation skills in the court room. 5 stars !!! He’s the best !!
Jordan Trager is professional, polite, punctual, a pleasure to work with and was a PERFECT person for my case with 100% success on my end. Thank you Jordan! Barbara
Divorce is a deeply personal life event. Jordan Trager, Esq. of Wisselman, Harounian & Associates addressed my needs with professionalism, consideration, and compassion. Jordan took time to understand the big picture and thoroughly explained each step throughout my legal process. I highly recommend reaching out if you are in need of legal representation. Based on my interaction with each member of the Wisselman, Harounian & Associates family, I can say it is truly a firm where excellent customer service is the bottom line.
Jordan did not return my calls, emails, asked me to contact my ex when a restraining order was in place. Failed to get child support money from my ex for over an year. Failed to file a violation petition for a restraining order. Extended the matter by lots of adjournments dates to extend the court hours and run my retainer as fast as he could. Unprofessional and unethical.
In Jan. 2011, I hired Jerome, of Wissleman, Harounian & Associates. After a week (after the 3 day allowance to break the contract), they just hired Jordan Trager and unfortunately gave him my divorce to handle. This man, didn't return calls, emails, and keep loosing important papers. I had to keep reminding him that He Worked For Me NOT For My Husband! During the 3 ring circus of a Divorce Trial, he again had me trying to get bank statements on the lunch break, (which he lost 2 times prior already), he didn't object, or cross examine. When the judge yelled at me for not providing papers after she subpoenaed me, I turned to her asked "what subpoena?" She said she sent it to my counsel, Jordan. He lost it and never informed me of such. Not only did they charge me $75,000 but I was stuck with my ex-husbands credit card debt of $42,000, that he charged on my cards during the marriage. The judge ordered that my ex was to pay me $2500.00 towards my divorce bill. I had paid Jordan and his firm in full. My ex sent the firm the $2,500.00 and they refused to give it to me; they kept it. Even when we were putting a custody agreement together, I didn't want to sign since it was allowing my ex to put the children in a psychiatric facility if he chooses, (and he did try to do so, but I got a better lawyer when that time came, and my children were saved). I also wanted the holiday of Rosh Hashanah, he refused to add it because I wasn't Jewish. But my ex got Veterans Day and he nor his family members weren't Vets. Double Standard. A Divorce is a very emotional, trying time. You do not need to feel that your lawyer is not working for you. I do not recommend this very expensive lawyer who isn't worth a quarter of his bill. After the divorce, I was served with bogus custody papers. I did not want to loose so I hired the best lawyer in New York. My ex-husband complained in court that he wanted me to rehire Jordan and fire my new lawyer and that wasn't happening. Even the judge wouldn't side with him. Run!
A motion was supposed to be made by my counsel to win me the legal fees they seek. ( as per my attorney Jordan Trager "you have no income that I am aware of" while no one knows what if anything the court would have awarded in entering into the final agreement, representation that I would come out ahead. In fact it was my belief that I would get a substantial award, even if the exact amount could not be predicted. The court right at the onset, earlier in the case awarded me 7,5000.00 9/23/2013 then on 4/18/2015 the court ordered that my ex pay them another 10,000 in legal fees. They asked for 20,000!!! In the order it states given the lack of complexity of issues in this case, lack of hearings, the ordinary nature of the settlement involving the parenting schedule, financial and equitable distribution. Simple cut and dry!!! So apparently as the non monied spouse the court felt I was entitled to substantial award of counsel fees.I am now advised by other attorneys in consultation with them that without the help of my attorneys who may or may not have to testify or affirm under oath in writing as to what they did and document thier efforts,to get me that award,as well as make a motion to post judgement. I will not be likely to be successful or as successful and it will cost me more money unless my attorneys would make that motion. My attorney has turned on me by serving me with fee dispute papers,my case is not finished, QUADRO is not done I had to hire another lawyer to handle this. I found out my divoce was final via my ex. They have my files won't releases them.. They have lied and now are suing me for 25,000 dollars on top of the 17,000 the court awarded them from my ex! Plus the monies I paid them.. And not only can I thereby not trust them with the application that I have the right to make as per the stipulation settlement, but they have told me outright they wouldn't even make the application for the 25,000. While I understand now that I only retained them through the point divorce, something that was not really clear until now to me,I still yet relied on their verbal representations and implications. I have no legal background, they on the other hand are purportedly or I would at least hope well versed on the law and knew this and had a duty to make it clear, which again they did not.
