About

During Law School, I was a member of the Law Review and my article, “Silent Voices: Maryland Needs to Enact a Law Allowing Assisted Outpatient Treatment to Help People with Mental Illness” was published in the Probate Edition of the Baltimore Barrister Law Journal in November 2011.  I was a teaching assistant for the first year Contract Law classes; led a committee of students to update and rewrite the SBA's Constitution and ByLaws; and, was the student representative on the Student Life Faculty Committee.  I received the American Bar Association's award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law; the Dean's Citation award for outstanding achievement and service to the law school; and, graduated in 2012 with honors.  During my third year of Law School I interned for the General Counsel's Office of the American Federation of Government Employee's in Washington D.C.  Following law school, I had the opportunity to work as the Regional Director of the Greater Boston Area for the Massachusetts Senator Campaign. In 2006 I graduated, with honors, from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management.  During college I was very involved in my sorority, Sigma Kappa, and many community and civic service activities.  Prior to law school I moved to Virginia and later North Carolina managing Employee Retirement Accounts for Wachovia Securities and Worker's Compensation claims for Liberty Mutual Insurance, respectively. To be closer to family, I moved back to Michigan and currently reside in Macomb County.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, watching sports, volunteering in the community, and scrapbooking. I am a member of the Michigan State Bar Association including the Probate and Estate Planning Section, Macomb and Oakland County Bar Associations, and the American Bar Association.
