We did our estate plan with Alexandra because we wanted to be sure that our daughter would be taken care of should anything happen to us. There was much more to think about than we had realized, so fortunately for us we had Alexandra to walk us through the process, and answer any of our (sometimes many) questions. I'd highly recommend her to anyone!

My wife and I had been putting off estate planning for years. When she became pregnant, we decided it was time to finally do something. One of my friends recommended we talk to Ms. Gerson, and she was superb. I didn’t understand the in’s and out’s of estate planning, so she patiently walked us through the entire process and answered all of our questions. She was also great about returning my emails and phone calls. At the end, I think Ms. Gerson gave us a good price for her services (attorneys at different firms wanted to charge us much more for the same work). I recommend her and would hire her again in the future.

Alexandra did a stellar job breaking down the ins and outs of our estate planning. Each detail was covered with thoughtful care and I left the process with absolute confidence in the plan and her understanding of our situation. She takes the time to understand your needs and collaborates with you throughout the process of crafting the plan. Very highly recommended and a pleasure to work with.

Ms. Gerson is an exceptional and sensitive attorney. She helped me and my adult son with the planning of our respective estates and did an excellent job in getting the appropriate documents drawn up and executed in a time sensitive manner. My son was especially resistant to doing this very difficult and emotional task, as it forced him to face his eventual mortality. I did not know how he would react in meeting with Ms. Gerson. However, Ms. Gerson showed true experience beyond her years in handling his concerns, and I was amazed at her success in getting him to discuss the most unpleasant of issues. At one point, my son had a rather unusual request. But Ms. Gerson did not flinch. She said she would conduct some research regarding his question and get back to him within a week. Upon doing so, she made her recommendations regarding his request and it pleased my son greatly. It made him feel validated. I was thoroughly impressed by Ms. Gerson's sense of understanding, kindness and sensitivity with regards to him. Her advice to me regarding my own estate was excellent. Both me and my son felt relieved and "taken care of" when our estate planning was completed. We would not hesitate to have Ms. Gerson assist us with any further estate planning needs in the future, should they arise. I highly recommended Ms. Gerson to my family and friends and would recommend her to anyone who needs an especially sensitive attorney for themselves or a loved one.

I had been putting off my personal estate planning for quite some time. After meeting with Alexandra, she made it relatively painless. If I didn't understand something, she explained it well. She was very up front about the costs. In the end, as I am aware that attorneys can be expensive, I made sure to listen to what Alexandra told me, and quickly respond with the requested information. I was pleased with the end result and it actually came in under budget.

Alexandra does not itemize her bills. Only 2 lawyers at this firm (out of about 16) do not itemize their bills to their clients - Alexandra being one of them. When I got an outrageous bill after just asking to make changes to an already completed estate planning doc - Alexandra and her staff made the year before, I asked for an itemized bill to see how my bill to make changes ended up being more than just creating the doc. It turned out my bill was so high because Alexandra did the secretarial, paralegal and small amounts of law work on her own - billing every duty with lawyer hours. The words that described the duties in the "unitemized bill" were changed when I received the itemized bill, such as, "filing documents, filling out a charity form, etc..." were all taken out of the "itemized" bill. So I was charged "lawyer fees" for secretarial work and paralegal work. Also, she rounded "UP" her hours very generously. She wrote me a 2 sentence email and an attached sheet with 3 sentences on it, that was pre-made a year ago and she charged me 60% of an hour to send it to me - that I notarized and sent back which she wrote she "had to file." My "few changes in document" bill turned out to be more expensive than my original creating and completing the estate planning doc in the first place. In conclusion, I asked the law firm owners to review the bill to see if it was fair because I felt extremely taken advantage of and tricked. The law firm had a meeting and ended up telling me I didn't not have to pay any of the bill - which was about $2,000. My experience was extremely disappointing working with Alexandra Gerson. I feel no sense of trust as a now, former client with this young, inexperienced person.
