It’s hard to even know where to start. When I hired Jerabek, I found out almost immediately that he wasn’t handling my case. His understudy, some kid who was practically an intern, maybe 3 years out of law school handled my case. However, I was still charged at Jerabek’s inflated rates. When I called or emailed, I was directed to his inexperienced understudy every time. There’s more. Jerabek seems to have a network of professional charlatans that charge an exorbitant amount of money for quite literally, no results. I actually have to sue one of his cronies in civil court because she literally did not perform a review of a custody evaluation even though she was paid $10,000 dollars by me to do so. She simply didn’t do it. And Jerabek covered for her, claiming that she had “nothing new to contribute”. He didn’t have any paperwork, nothing written, no details. Also, if you’re into being verbally assaulted outside of a courtroom in front of a number of other people, Jerabek is your man! My case was going to trial. The day of trial, Jerabek had what I can only describe as a panic attack. He was trembling, voice shaking, sweating profusely, and literally pointed his finger right in my face and screamed at me to take a last second settlement offer that was not at all in my best interest. At the time, I didn’t understand why he behaved that way. I later found out it was because he had not prepared for trial. At all. My witnesses were supeoned but not a single one had been spoken to ahead of time. He didn’t know the details of my case on the day of trial even. He yelled at me that if I didn’t take the settlement offer from the other party, I “would lose my child completely”. The entire courtroom heard this. Not a very good negotiating tactic. He also refused to negotiate, by the way. So, the other side got 100% of what they asked for and I paid a ton of money to give up my opportunity for trial. I think I would recommend for literally anybody to go it alone before hiring Jerabek. I’ve worked with several attorneys in the past and come from a family of attorneys and judges. This was hands down the most miserable experience I have ever had with any attorney and possibly the worst experience I have ever had with any “professional” in my life.
