I would recommend Alesha to anyone who needs a qualified caring Lawyer. She was very straightforward and explained every step of the process. When I needed her for some follow up after the divorce was final she was happy to help to make sure that all the loose ends were tied up so I could move forward in my new life.

I was the one who wrote the previous review. I have since flagged myself as I spoke out of turn ans with a spiteful heart. Alesha has now shown me to be a collaborative type of family law attorney and is extremely trustworthy. Please disregard my previous rant.

I had taken my ex-wife to court 5 times on contempt charges because she made up many reasons to keep me from my twice monthly visits. Though in some of the cases there were reprimands made and orders written chastising my ex I never actual won a contempt hearing in which she was found guilty of contempt. I was pro se as was my ex. She then hired Alesha Struthers who failed to file an order of appearance until moments before the hearing which caused a delay. She then filed the notice but it was only for 1 day. Long story short the only contempt hearing that my ex was actually found in contempt was the one where she used Ms. Struthewrs as an attorney. If a layperson such as myself can beat her in court than she can't be that good. Also she is untrustworthy when it comes to such mundane things as filing a notice of appearance, she seems to change her mind weekly.

I was set up with Ms Struthers through the Moderate Means Program. I met with her and outlined in detail what I needed done in my case. She agreed to take me on as a client. I paid her an initial $500.00 and a week and a half later I received a package from her of all the paperwork I gave her at our initial meeting and she said she would no longer represent me. No work was done on my case other than her possibly reviewing my paperwork. I feel what Ms Struthers has done in my case is unethical. She agreed to take my case via the Moderate Means Program knowing I had limited funds. I met with her, she charged me $500.00 and afterwards said she wouldn't represent me.
