After finalizing my divorce several years ago with another law firm, I found myself reaching out to the courts in an effort to have them enforce the original agreement. I was having no success until I hired Alec. He really took his time to explain my options and the best course of action. After just a couple meetings I felt like I had traction and was moving in the right direction. His calm and empathetic demeanor really help guide me through this frustrating and emotional time. I wouldnt hesistate to hire Alec Lewis again.
I hired Alec for my divorce. I heard of Alec because he was providing free advise on a broad range of community issues and knew then he had good intentions for the community and was someone I could trust. I discovered Alec was easy to communicate with. He understands the legal system and is very knowledgeable on the law and helped me understand the process. Probably the best thing about Alec Lewis he is someone I can trust. Alec Lewis is someone you can trust. He has my full faith and confidence. I started the divorce process without an attorney. I'm so glad I found Alec Lewis because it was more complicated than I expected. I highly recommend Alec Lewis.
Alec helped me through a time I thought I would never have to face. During my very contested divorce, he was an advisor, a mentor, a shoulder to cry on, always available. He kept me going, gave me the hope I needed to stay the course and the strength necessary to believe in me again. His humor and no-nonsense advice was very much appreciated as well. The mental support he offered was matched by his ability in the courtroom: extremely knowledgeable in all legal family matters, he crafted new strategies on the spot, knew when to give in and when to stand our ground. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with Alec's performance as a lawyer.
Since day one, Alec Lewis has been quick to respond to any request that I have. He is very knowledgeable and smart in strategizing the best way to go about winning the case. With every twist and turn in the case, he was quick to think on his feet to get the best outcome. Very specifically, he accommodated all of my wishes, no matter what. The situation I was faced with was very difficult and traumatic, but Mr. Lewis won my case. The outcome was over and above more than I ever believed could be possible. I am very grateful for his help and to this day, consider him a friend.
I first met Alec in 2004. At that time I was faced with loosing the right to see my child. Through his extensive knowledge, diligence and fierce advocacy Alec preserved my right to be in my child's life. In fact, Alec, took my situation from hopeless and desperate to overwhelmingly satisfied and vindicated. From having my child every other weekend to having them every weekend. Since 2004 to very recently, Alec has always been there for me and my child. Alec was always up front and honest with me. He has always displayed to me a genuine concern and care for me, my child and our case. I would recommend Alec to anyone who needs a fierce advocate for your rights.
I would highly recommend Alec. He is responsive and a great litigator. He will be honest and try to keep your costs down. But if you need to go to court, he definetely is the man to argue your case.
I was given Mr. Lewis' name by one of his family members and at our consultation he had a lot of seemingly good strategies. My ex did not want the divorce and my children did not want to spend time with their father when he moved out. The case took quite awhile to resolve. I am sad to say that the case did not end as Mr Lewis had told me it would. His strategies did not work and just cost me lots of money. My children were forced to visit their dad despite my having submitted evidence of abuse from him from the childrens' doctor. I also only received a small amount of limited alimony even though my husband and i had agreed that i should not work once we had children. I should have received indefinite alimony. In the end my children did crazy things because Mr Lewis didn't protect them and I spent a lot of money and my ex didn't have to pay any of it despite the fact that he was the one who kept filing all the motions. The bottom line is that he didn't protect with my children or myself and i was left with very little income with which to raise my children since i received so little child support and alimony from a long marriage.
I hired Lewis for what was to be a contentious divorce. He laid out a game plan and told me what he anticipated would happen although he did not follow the course of action that he said he would. He lied to me on numerous occasions and I lost significant money because of his poor judgement. He seemed more concerned with revenge than getting the results he had lied to me about. He did the opposite of what he said he would do and made phone calls and sent correspondence making consessions without ever discussing them with me. I got nothing I wanted or deserved and ended up with a huge bill with nothing to show for it.
Mr Lewis represented me but was not truthful about I could expect the results to be in my case. He kept coming up with new proposed strategies to fix the previous ones that didn’t work all the while costing me 10a of 1000s of dollars. He was sarcastic and hurtful to me and I felt very disrespected wasted alot of money which got me nothing but more problems. Beware of his sales pitch !!
He was just interested in the money. He did the absolute bare minimum which made me look like a complete idiot in court. He irritated the judge after he hung me out to dry. He reviewed things with me as many times as possible (not in a good way.) We'd go over the same meaningless things 10x just so he could charge me.
