I concentrate my law practice in the preservation and transfer of property. I help clients achieve their financial objectives by minimizing the tax and non-tax costs of transferring assets at death, and by assisting them with eligibility for government benefits. I have an MBA degree from Binghamton University and a certification as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (tm). I regularly lecture at professional educational courses for attorneys, accountants and financial planners. I also frequently present at public forums concerning estate planning matters. My topics include Medicaid eligibility, supplemental needs trusts for disabled persons, estate and tax planning, and protecting gas leases and royalties for future family members through limited liability companies and other tax efficient strategies.I have been recognized as a Super Lawyer (Elder Law), by Best Lawyers in Upstate NY, and with an AV Preeminent Attorney rating by Martindale Hubbell peer review organization.
