These are the facts: 1. I hired this lawyer for a custody case in January 2021, Orange County, NY. 2. I was extremely disappointed when after 5 weeks I had been billed a total of $8.3k, and there were actually NO results, so far it had been all just pure blah blah blah, and he definitely didn’t do what I hired him to do, instead, he kept contradicting me, trying to convince me to simply settle. 3. Furthermore, I also noticed that he doesn't listen and forgets what we had discussed. An example of this is an email where he says that I "failed" to call him to discuss my case, but I had already called him, and he had totally forgotten it!! So, you have to constantly repeat yourself, and obviously, that ends up costing more as he bills at a minimum of 12 minutes (the contract I signed outlines it that way as well as the bills I received). That includes even for reviewing an email, some of which I didn't even get a response, but was surely billed (and I have the bill to show it). 4. In my case, and based on what I explained, the impression I got is that he didn't pay any attention, didn’t put any seriousness. The one thing he was serious about was BILLING. 5. I have the bills and my bank statements (I paid with) to show the fact that AJ Iuele billed me for items such as "reviewing an email" (not even replying it, just reviewing it), "phone calls with opposing counsel" (you have to believe the duration of the calls, as there was no formal system to report how long phone calls lasted, it's just what he says it did), "giving directives to paralegal" (3 times in a row and on the same day, the bill stated he gave directives to paralegal and charged me for each time!), also for "taking notes" (lots of notes!). …AND to make a long story short, as a human being who has the right to feel and express how I felt, the only words I can use to express how I FELT, are "I felt robbed" to be out of $8,300 in such a short period of time (a fact) and with absolutely no tangible results for that. I had to start from scratch with another lawyer, who had to do all the work. So, again, BASED on my experience and the documents I have to support my claims (emails, bills, bank statement, phone calls records), I don't recommend this lawyer.
