I first contacted Ellen after receiving a glowing recommendation from a friend. From the first call to her check in emails after I no longer needed her services, Ellen made me feel comfortable, understood, and validated. She very clearly explained everything so my expectations for outcomes could be realistic, she patiently answered any questions I had throughout the process, and made herself available to work with me as I had an unconventional schedule. When looking for an attorney to represent during discrimination cases, I cannot recommend anyone more than Ellen and Swick and Shapiro.

Ellen did an excellent job with my case. She went above and beyond to make sure justice was served! I drove 3 hours away to see her because of a friend that referred her to me! I would recommend her to anyone!

Ellen was great from the beginning until the unfortunate end. Ellen was through in obtaining information and understanding my case before representing me. I'm confident Ellen did everything possible to win my case. If Ellen takes your case it means you have a high probability of winning. It's very unfortunate and unjust that we lost, it had nothing to do with the firm. In my life I've learned justice in this life is hard to come by especially when you're up against liars. If Ellen agrees to represent you ,you won't be disappointed. GB

Ellen Renaud represented me in an EEO/EEOC case. Ellen is an experienced attorney and a consummate professional that's dedicated to representing her clients including negotiating the best possible outcome. Ellen never gave up on the case and/or Ellen went above and beyond the call of duty. I would hire Ellen again. I would highly recommend Ellen Renaud.

My words are inadequate to express my appreciation of Ellen Renaud's work while representing me in the negotiation of my severance package.  I was impressed by her communication skills and expertise. She made things go much easier than I anticipated. Her services were valuable during this difficult period of my life. She was responsive, compassionate, patient with me and at times just listened. Ellen is analytical and strategic. She helped me navigate through the process to achieve wins on our big ticket items. I don’t know how I would have made it without her by my side. I thank God for her and her expertise. It was a pleasure to work with her. I will recommend her services without hesitation. to anyone that needs legal help with an employment or labor situation.

Helped me navigate through one of the most difficult times in my life, so I could move on to a new chapter without the burden of discrimination and retaliation my former employer placed upon me. Finished with a win for my life! Onward and upward, thanks to Ellen Renaud and the partners of Swick And Shapiro! I highly recommend Ellen Renaud!

I wish I could say good things about this attorney, but I really can't. She was assigned to me after I contacted the law firm of Swick and Shapiro, which I had chose because several of my colleagues had recommended it. She seemed to be knowledgable, and after she moved to the Lescht Law Firm, I decided to stay with her. But after I paid her $7000, she pretty much did nothing on my case, and I often had a hard time getting her to contact me. Plus, I did almost all of the work on the documentation for my EEO case, and she really didn't do much else on any other part of the process. Afterwards, she representated me at a security clearance interview, and she treated me like an idiot the entire time, and she really did not know about security clearances, which I found odd for someone who supposedly worked with people who needed security clearances for her job. After I got my final response from my EEO investigation, she told me that I should just drop the case, and when I asked to speak with her, she just ignored me. I finally called her myself, and she was distracted when speaking with me. I wrote part of a rebuttal to some of the things said in the case report, and asked her to take a look but, she never answered my emails. After I didn't hear from her from a while, I wrote to her again, and asked if there was anything else that needed to be done. She again treated me with contempt, and I told her that I was going to another attorney. I consulted with another attorney, who agreed that I should not move forward with the case, but that attorney charged me nothing, and told me that looking at the case, she could tell that I really didn't have a good case from the beginning, and should never have taken it to a formal level. This is the first time that I have ever used an attorney, and after this experience, I am reluctant to ever do so again. Also, she is now with the Lescht Law Firm, which apparently has a reputation for charging people money, telling them that they have a good case, and then leaving them high and dry. So, I guess she will fit right in at that firm. Do not waste your time or money with this attorney. There are so many other, better people that you could hire.
