About
Adam Gordon is a highly experienced trial lawyer focusing now on business litigation. He developed his skills as a trial lawyer as a Deputy District Attorney in the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, where he handled hundreds of evidentiary hearings, jury trials and bench trials. His civil practice will center on complex civil litigation with an emphasis on matters likely to go to trial.Mr. Gordon joined the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office in 2009. While a Deputy District Attorney, Mr. Gordon tried 30 jury trials, 6 bench trials and conducted 171 preliminary hearings. He began his career by serving on the trial team which successfully prosecuted one of the murderers of Oceanside Police Officer Dan Bessant. Mr. Gordon rose through the ranks and assumed first chair responsibility, leading him to prosecute 27 jury trials in cases such as premeditated attempted murder, gang violence, assault causing great bodily injury, battery causing great bodily injury, robbery, and residential burglary. He was elected by his peers as a representative to the Deputy District Attorney’s Association and served as the Summer Legal Intern Coordinator.While a Deputy District Attorney, Mr. Gordon also served as the Founder and CEO of Jury Box, Inc. Jury Box is a software program that digitally manages all aspects of the jury selection process for trial lawyers and trial consultants. Jury Box 3.0 has been used by trial lawyers and trial consultants across the nation. Mr. Gordon received the IT Innovator Award from the San Diego County Public Safety Group for the 3rd quarter of 2012 for the contributions made by Jury Box to the successful prosecution of criminal offenders.Mr. Gordon is a graduate of Harvard University, where he played wide receiver on Harvard’s varsity football team. For his work as a student-athlete, he was awarded the Francis H. Burr Scholarship Prize and the Patrick C. Melendez Award. Mr. Gordon subsequently graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law. He was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa (eligibility only for top third of the class), Extramural Moot Court Chairman and a finalist in the William Minor Lile Moot Court.
