About

Aaron J. Bibb is an associate attorney in Hawks Quindel’s Madison office. He practices wage and hour, employment, and labor law, bringing well over a decade of experience as an advocate for working people to his practice.Attorney Bibb is passionate about helping workers understand their legal rights and hold their employers accountable. Before attending law school at the University of Wisconsin, he spent twelve years as a union representative, organizer, steward, and activist in the Wisconsin labor movement. From 2009 to 2011, he was the lead organizer on a successful unionization campaign at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. When the passage of Act 10 stripped away formal union rights for most public-sector workers in 2011, Attorney Bibb worked with teachers, support staff, custodians, and nurses from Superior to Milwaukee to help them build collective power in their new environment.Attorney Bibb brings the same drive to his work at Hawks Quindel that he brought to the Wisconsin labor movement. He represents workers both individually and collectively to make sure that their employers follow state and federal minimum wage and overtime laws. He represents workers who have suffered discrimination or retaliation because of their protected status. He represents workers in individual negotiations with their employers, from the beginning to the end of employment. And he represents workers and their unions to help them protect and enforce their collective and individual rights.Outside of the office, Attorney Bibb volunteers as the treasurer and as a supervising attorney for the Unemployment Compensation Appeals Clinic, which provides free assistance to Wisconsin workers who have been denied unemployment insurance benefits. He is also an active member of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section, where he is currently a vice-chair of the section’s newsletter committee. He lives with his wife and their two children in Monona, where he enjoys reading, music, hiking, and cooking.Attorney Bibb graduated first in his class from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2019, where he served as an Articles Editor and a Diversity Committee member for the Wisconsin Law Review. As a law student, he also worked in the Neighborhood Law Clinic, assisting clients in employment and rental housing disputes. Before joining Hawks Quindel, Attorney Bibb served for two years as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable James D. Peterson in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
